My garmin nuvi 660 stopped receiving satellite signal. Reset has no effect. Everything else seem to work.

Power your unit on outside, make sure you have a clear view of the sky. If your unit is working properly, then it should pick up the satellites. If so, then you can put the unit back in your vehicle and make sure it is positioned to maintain a satellite lock. If you cannot acquire satellites outside, then the unit is defective.

Garmin street pilot 2610 not picking up satellite during heavy cloud coverage??please advise. Thank you jimd

The GPS signals will not be affected by clouds, rain, fog,
snow, etc. You probably need to relocate the position of the gps in your vehicle due to weak signal where it is now located.

It won't pick up the satellite signal so its stuck at it last place searching for a satellite feed.

Should not take more than that unless you have installed a new set of maps in a new location. Call Garmin to confirm. Try installing latest firmware for unit to see if that resolves the issue.

If that does not do the trick then maybe...................................

Nuvi 200w will not pick up sattalites

Make sure you are outside and as much in the open as possible. Staying stationary is the best way to insure a satellite signal. Give your GPS a few minutes if necessary to pick up a satellite signal. Also remember poor weather can effect a satellite signal reaching your GPS, just like it will satellite TV.

I have a Garmin Map76 that will no longer pick up any satellites. It acts like it is permanently stuck in the simulation mode.

This happens to be an older model and has the antenna on the opposite side of the Lanyard strap, so if you are holding it on your wrist, the antenna is facing towards the earth and not to open sky to pick up the minimum satellite signals. (The newer models have improved antenna & SW)

Cannot locate saltellite or Acquiring satellite

The error means it can't pick up valid GPS signals. In other words, bad reception.

Has the unit ever worked? Does the unit have an internal or external antenna? Are the batteries fully charged?

Try the unit outside with clear view of sky instead of in the car. This will give it the best chance of picking up a GPS signal.

If it still doesn't then suggest something broken inside.
