Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Each webcam comes with its own software package. You need to run the software, be sure to do the setup so the computer recognizes it and then read the directions.

GateWay Netbook LT3103u Webcam Not Working

This will bring back a non-working device in most cases but not all. Try going into the control panel and then into the device manager. Then remove the web cam from the device manager listing and re-boot the computer. Windows should automatically detect the webcam after the computer is finished re-booting and install the software. Then verify if the webcam is working properly. If it does not automatically detect the webcam then you will need to go into the control panel and try to scan for new hardware and see if windows is seeing the device. If it detects the hardware then follow the instructions from the windows prompts to re-install the drivers and software. If windows does not see the webcam even when you try to manually detect hardware then the webcam might be defective. You could also go to gateway's website and download the latest drivers that are available for your netbook and update them. Go here http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/dlcenter.asp?cmpid=topnav&sn=LUWEW0Y00229270DB8E250
And then select your operating system.

Sorry to hear that... Well the first option I would try is to:

Uninstall the Web cam Driver

Go to Acer's Support Site

Download the web cam driver and see if that fixes the problem!

Acer Aspire One AOD250 Netbook Built-in Webcam problems....

try this it sometimes works. 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe). START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER) 2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC708002BE2092F} Write down the upper & lower filter valuse. Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value (it's safe, and if could be restored later on if you have written it down, so don't worry)

MSI U100 :S

I believe holding down the Fn button (on the bottom left of the keyboard) and F6 turns the webcam off and on. If it is off, it won't be seen by windows at all. Just hit Fn and F6 at the same time and you should be all set. The F6 key even has a small picture of what should be a webcam.

Good luck!

I've had no success in getting my logitech web cam to accept Skype. I tried for two hours yesterday. When I reboot, I'm back to square one: Skype telling me that it doesn't recognize my Logitech quickcam....

This reminds me when I had the same problem when Skype version 4 came out and it loaded so fast the webcam software was not in place and Skype could not detect the webacam.
The workaround was to right click and exit Skype and restart it but others on the Skype community chose to go back to an older version of Skype.
I'm surprised if its the same problem still as several updates have been made since then I thought it would have been patched - I am now on the latest version

Ah yea, had that happen once. Telus sent me an installation CD but no computer in the house could read the CD.
Well, no big deal. Go to www.logitech.com and download the drivers.
