Hi,

There could be an issue with the sealing on the freezer, please check that.

Also, it could indicate a fault with the air circulation.
Press the door closed switch and take note if the fan is running.

In a frost free freezer the ice could be caused by the following:

1. Evaporator fan nonfunctional.
2. Defrost timer not working.
3. Defrost saftey control is open
4. Drainline is clogged.

Since you refridgerator is not even a year old, I suggest that you involve the manufacturer and have them cover the repair under warranty.

How do I find th lyrics for frosty the snowman

You Google it as I did :>)

Lyrics Oh, frosty yeah, oh frosty yeah
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale they say
He was made of snow but the children all know
How he came to life one day
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around
Oh
Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be
And the kids all say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me
Frosty oh yeah, yeah, yeah (frosty, frosty the snowman) the snowman yeah yeah yeah
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop
And he only paused a moment
When heard him holler
Stop, stop, stop
Frosty the snow man
Had the hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye saying
Don't you cry
I'll be back again some day
Thumpetty thump thump (frosty, frosty the snowman)
Frosty the snowman
Thumpetty thump thump (frosty, frosty the snowman)
Frosty the snowman
Thumpetty thump thump (frosty, frosty the snowman)
Frosty the snowman
Thumpetty thump thump (frosty, frosty the snowman)

Refridgerator side is not cooling and freezer is wroking fine

1st i must get you to look for some symptoms look on back wall (inside) of freezer. Is there "sno-cone" type frost? yes? defrost problem. heater, defrost thermostat or defrost timer or adaptive defrost control. no? is fan running? is evaporator coil cold ,frosty? no fan but cold frosty coil(that's frosty but not frosted up) then bad fan motor probably. you need volt meter, and know how to use it. otherwise call a tek.

I have a kenmore refridgerator side by side. The freezer is beginning to have snow buildup (it is a self defrost) the refridgerator side is not cold

That snow is the condensate build up on the evaporator coils behind the rear panel of your freezer. Normally the freezer will go into defrost about every 10 hours and this snow will melt and drain out the defrost condensate line below the evaporator and go to a pan under your refrigerator and return back to the air inside your home. I believe your freezer is missing the defrost cycle either because the controls for the defrost are defective or the defrost heater and defrost thermostat is defective. I would be watching for an increase in refrigerator temperatures soon, due to loss of defrost. We will need to unplug and examine the evaporator coils behind the rear wall of the freezer. If frozen or covered with snow then defrost with a hair dryer and lets check the defrost heater and all its related components. Could you find a model number like 321.256489 for example then I can find the parts to look for. Sea Breeze

My fridge is'nt working, but the freezer is but the fan comes on when the door is opened and it has become quite frosty. Its a hotpoint

You have to defrost your unit. This usually solves the problem. Remove your frozen food to a good ice chest. Put the refridgerated food in a seperate container ( another ice chest ) and unplug your unit, and open the doors over night. Plug it back in, replace your food an hour or so later.

Not cooling/freezing THERMADOR SIDE BY SIDE REFRIDGERATOR BUILT IN

Sounds like thatyou refrigerator has leaked out the refrigerant. If you have a condenser i.e. cage on the back , place your hand over it and see if it is warm if it is not then if deffinaltey the gas.

this is not a diy job and you will need an engineer with relevant qualifications..

hope this helps

cheers wash doctor

REfridgerator Failure

Refridgerator is 5 years old. Simply went out of cooling and freezing. Still makes operating sounds and lights work but losing our freezer full of food is disturbing on a refer only 5 years old. What could be wrong?

Refridgerator freezing food

dm, I'm not sure if the thermostat is mechanical or electronic. Assuming mechanical...and I do...turn it to the lowest number...does it turn off? If this works properly, the problem is likely not the control. Does the compressor turn off at any time? If not after an hour or so of operation, the stat could be defective. That's my first guess. Oh, have you made sure that you don't have the ducts in the freezer blocked? The would deflect too much cold air to the fridge section.

Next, defrost the unit and clean the condenser coils. This will help the unit work properly. Then, wait awhile with the unit off. Meanwhile, access the compressor in the rear of the unit. Find the largest pipe coming out of the compressor. Turn the unit on. The largest pipe should frost and then, in about 5 minutes or so...either cause condensation or dry out. If neither happens and the line is either not COLD to the touch or frosty, you're low on gas. If the unit is less than 5 years old, you may get warranty coverage on the sealed unit from the mfgr. Believe it or not, too little gas will cause freezing in some cases!
