2 days ago my dazzle was working fine. I was able to record just fine. But then yesterday I noticed that when I recorded a video the sound was way off and the clips lagged really badly. Now whenever I try to record (with Pinnacle Studio 12) it gives me a message saying, " A valid input signal has not been detected. Please check your cables." I've unplugged my dazzle from my USP port multiple times blowing in both and it still doesn't work

Try the following steps,
(1)Uninstall the driver from your computer for dazzle by going to my computer right clicking it and then clicking "Manage" in pop up menu. Then click device manager. This for Windows.
(2) Reinstall the driver for dazzle
(3) If this does not work.out get your dazzle device serviced so it gets clean and tuned
(4) if this does not work out then be suspicious about your Video and audio cards.
(5) Try reinstalling Audio/Video drivers..

Dazzle audio problem


Very common problem with their software - they try to force you to purchase better stuff. For starters, try Corell Video Studio to see if it works better - it has a free 30 day trial period. I use it, and find that it is among the better packages to use.

Video is very choppy when recording with dazzle DVC 100


Hi and welcome to Fixyah,

When you open your Instant DVD Recorder all you have to do is to choose Go directly to advance mode then on step number 1 click on the pull down arrow and choose dazzle dvc 100. Click option after that. Click on video input and then click VCR input. Now go to step number 4 and you can now put your valid time for recording. Check if choppy video again and let me know it by replying here.

Can't see video on preview screen after hitting "start recording". What am I doing wrong.

When there is no video after you hit start recording then go ahead and disconnect your dazzle device to your computer and then connect it back to another usb port. Go to your control panel, system,hardware, device manager and then sound video and games controller look for dazzle device video driver right click uninstall restart your computer afterwards. go back and open Instant DVD Recorder and choose the advance mode. On step number 1 select capture source then select your dazzle device. Open your camcorder play it make sure that the video image will now showing to your preview screen of your computer and then hit record now.

Dazzle records and then it shows back in fast forward motion

When recording your video using the dazzle and it shows fast forward in motion I would suggest to you to go ahead and record it again but this time disconnect your dazzle and reconnect at the back of the usb port of the computer and from there check and try recording again.
If still the same problem you need to uninstall your device driver. Click on start>control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound video and audio preferences>look for pinnacle dvc 100 video device right click and uninstall it. Restart the computer. Go back and check and record it again.

Please do this disconnect your dazzle then reconnect at the back of your computer. Click on Start>Control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound and video games controller> right click on video capture device and uninstall it together with the audio. Restart your computer. Check also your audio cable connections. Then try it again.

Can I see video through the Instant DVD recorder display?


Yes you can see the video using Instant DVD recorder program. Make sure on step number 1 you choose Dazzle device and then make sure that your vhs,camcorder is connected to your dazzle properly.If ever no video and still no video and no sound please do this. Disconnect your dazzle and then connect at the back of your computer Click on Start>Control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound and video games controller> right click on video capture device and uninstall it. Restart your computer. After restarting check and do it again.

Losing Audio Halfway Through Recording


The audio failure sounds more like a VHS player failure than a DVD software/recorder failure. Both audio and video are transferred at the same time to the DVD, and as long as the DVD recorder is working, that's really all there is. I would check the VHS player and confirm that the sound actually works all the way through.

Can not enter a record time


To solve this case you must go back to step number 1 select video source.

Try to click the box pinnacle file capture then select the dazzle as your video source. make sure that your camcorder is on and playing.

Try it again.

Unable to install pinnacle dvd recorder for recordeing anlog vide


Regarding to your Q.1.

Please check you video card if the drive is up to date. Please tell the what type of video card do you have in your computer?

To check go to device manager then click on the display adapter and you will see the exact name of your video card.

Regarding to your Q.2.
Make sure that in the step number 1 select video source the dazzle must be selected not pinnacle file capture.

Last, Q.3 you must accomplish first the given procedures in Q.1 and Q.2 so that this will fix the Q.3
