After plugging your USB to the PC, go to Windows Explorer (right click START and select Explore).
In the left panel, scroll down until you see your device listed there. It will usually be the drive after the DVD/CDROM drive.
Click on the (+) to expand the folders. Find the folder that holds the Mp3 songs. In the left pane, right click on this folder and select 'properties'. In the General tab, at the bottom, you should see Attributes. Make sure "Read Only" attribute is unchecked.

Try to copy paste Mp3's into this folder now. It should work.

Hope that helps!

"Bad Track" Messages on e260

You have songs that may be protected or the wrong format for your device.
delete the bad song and download another copy from a different source and try it.
This is not to uncommon due to different file formats and protection in the song files
When you rip songs from another device often some won't load or play in another device
especially if they are paid for songs.

Why does it say error when i put on song onto my gpx mp3 player?

sEVERAL POSSIBILITIES:
* You downloaded protected music on your Windows 98/98SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP computer using Windows Media Player 9. Music was purchased online or the music was ripped form your own audio CD with Copyright Protection turned ON.
o You must use Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 for online purchased songs.
o You must turn OFF Copy Protection on your Windows Media Player 9 before ripping your audio CDs into WMA files
* You downloaded protected music to your MP3 player using your Windows XP computer and Windows Media Player 10 with your player in USB mode. Music was downloaded from the internet, purchased or subscribed, or it was ripped from your own audio CD with Copyright protection turned ON.
o You have to use your MW3836 in MTP mode.

My brother just bought an mp3 player and it wontt let you put songs on it. Whenever wetry, the littlered triangle comes p and tells us tha there was trouble downloading the song onto the mp3. WEe've tried...

On some mp3 players, the songs cannot be copy-protected, even if the specs say they can take wma format. Also, the cheaper music subs don't give you transfer rights, even though they allow you to play the song on your computer. What music svc are you using? It makes a big difference.

Coby mp3 player problem

Write the songs to a CD (or a CDRW) first, then re-rip them to Windows Media Player/iTunes/whatever as mp3s, or unprotected WMAs.

Honestly it's easier to burn and re-rip than remove the copy protection. When you burn it to a CD, the DRM goes away, and you'll have a new file that actually plays on your player.
