Are there downloads or upgrades for the Sony S360?

I just had this problem on a BDP-N460. I had just moved to a new house and now using HDMI instead of componet, I also tried to do a firmware upgrade when I didn't have internet connection to by Bluray player.

Called Sony and they said memeory was correcupted and it required repair.

As a last resort I downloaded the latest firmware from sony onto my computer and burned it to CD-R (even though I was already at the latest version). I popped the disk in and almost immediatly it said I was already updated. After that all was working without issue.

Not sure what happened or what caused it but its working now.

If this happens with all BR disks then either the firmware has been corrupted and you will need to update it or the blue laser diode for the BR disks has failed and the entire optical mechanism will have to be replaced by a dealer's repair shop.

I don't know what kind of TV you have, but on some TVs the HDMI inputs have to be enabled via the TV setup menu. Try looking at the setup status.

There is a wonderful website that provides installation CDs and Palm Desktop software for Sony Clie models that Sony no longer provides support for. I was able to get the Palm Desktop software with Clie drivers for my TJ25 from it. The website is http://www.sonyclie.org/. I'll bet they can fix you up!
