if there is frost on the back wall of the freezer than its iced over (the automatic defrost cycle has failed) turn off the fridge for 18-24 hrs with freezer door open and the ice will melt and it will begin to cool again. It takes a long time for the ice behind the back wall to thouruoghly melt, if it isnt all the way defrosted you will end up with soild ice insead of frost and that will take even longer to thaw Dont forget to rate my solution as solved if I accurately answered your question...Thanks!!

Wow, so you dropped some money into it, eh? I would take a look at the damper door asslb(DIFFUSER). located at the very top left of your refrigerator section in back. It has a motorized door that opens and close's and it may be stuck open. More than likely it is broken and needs to be replaced. GOODLUCK!!!!
FYI: All your cold air in your refrigerator comes from your freezer!

you can purchase a refrigeration coil brush ( looks like a baby bottle brush only 2-3 feet long, for about 10 bucks at the local hardware store. this will fit inbetween the coils

Since you say that it still cools, you need to start out with a thorough cleaning of the condenser grill. If it the air flow is blocked or the condenser grill is extremely dirty or clogged with pet hair, then the unit won't be able to dispel the heat buildup cause by the coolant running through the compressor.
I have found that if you use an air compressor blowing from the rear and a vacuum from the front works pretty good.
