I'm trying to find the part number for a water level switch for a Crosley (caws833sq0) washing machine.

It will if the cycle timer is in that phase

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect. If the water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash. bad inlet valve not allowing any water in? Does it do in on both hot and cold water wash? or bad water pressure switch saying it is full of water when it is not? thus it will not fill? does it go into wash manually? u can check these with a multi meter for continuity

there may be a problem with the pressure switch.there may also be a problem witht the lid switch.try and unplug the unit and see what happens.
the main control board would be the last thing to go out and need replaceing

there are two clips located about one inch in from either side of the machine push them in and the lid will release.i hope this helps good luck with you machine

yes! check and reset or change the water level switch that sounds like a good place to start

My Crosley Cw6000 wash will not spin the water out, I lift the lid to watch the spin cycle, it spins but the water does not drain..

new washer valve on washers are designed to be "energy saving" most are 70/30..on warm 70 percent cold and 30 percent hot also new temp controls will reduce temp to a "safe level" by adding cold even on hot setting the on/off of water flow is being controlled by thermal sensor in water line on valve output ..in other words it's normal

check the pressure tube from the tub to the water level switch for a hole or crack in the tube, if none found replace the water level switch
