Describe your 3000 Watt Portable Generator Problem not getting spark to the plug i know that much because i pulled plug and cranked over nothing but i did get zapped when held plug wire in my hand just...

You might have a bad spark plug or plug wire. I know this may sound silly but make sure the unit is full of oil. It has a low oil shutdown that will kill the ignition. You might check the wiring and make sure that it is all connected. Especially the wires going to the ignition switch. These are great generators. Good luck.

My engine died. There in no power anywhere. I suspect a short circuit somewhere. No lights, no nothing. I disconnected the negative from battery and tested with a v-meter. There is continuity between...

Leave the battery disconnected and charge it for about 8-hours with a low-rate charger. Make sure all switches are off, then tap the battery cable back to the post--if you get bright flashes/sparks, you will need to isolate various sections of the wiring by removing fuses and remove the heavy wire going to the alternator. Once you get it to where there are no sparks, push the connector on to the post (but don't tighten yet), start replacing fuses and wire connections one at a time until you find one that sparks--that is the circuit that you need to trace out. If it is the alternator wire, have the alternator tested at an auto parts store. If you got no reaction when replacing the negative cable to the post after charging, a switch may have been left on thus draining the battery. Hope this helps!

Died today on the highway, just lost power and now it still turns over but no start. sparks good elctrical and pump. any ideas?

If you're getting spark, fuel, and all the electrical is good, id start with checking the cylinder compression.

If that turns up nothing the timing may have jumped.

I HAVE A HONDA HORNET 600F FROM NEW AND IVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH IT MY MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT IT RUNS LUMPY AT 3000 RPM AND THE SHOP WHERE BOUGHT IT FROM SAYS THAT THERE NOTHING WRONG WITH IT, IVE...

3000 rpm's lumpiness is typical for a Honda.

I have a 1985 Honda Interceptor that did something similar, running with a little bit more vibration at certain rpm's.

My honda can have a redline of 12,000 rpm's though so it never bothered me.

Hope this helps.

My honda cb750 motor wont starthas good compresion when i kick start but nothing happens

Does It have sparks?
Take out one spark plug, put the cable on the cap, put the spark plug body agaist the engine block (attach It with something...DON'T take It with your hands!!) and try to start the engine. There must be a spark between the spark plug's electrodes every 2 or three pushes to the kickstart lever.
If It has spark, there is a problem with the gasoline not going into the cylinders (carburetors or fuel line clogged)
If It has no sparks, there is an electrical/ignition problem.
You don't specify which model It is....but this is a tip for motorcycles in general.

Honda GX 340-Used to start and run no problem, now nothing

I think both problems could be wiring in the key switch box. Sometimes the connectors shake loose.

1991 Honda Accord Starting/Ignition trouble

sounds like a bad battery or the battery cables are corroded where they hook up to the battery or loose. if it cranks for a couple seconds slow than clicks quickly there isnt enough voltage getting to the starter. not all new parts are good.
