Question about Home

1 Answer

I have a Grohe Freehander. One of the shower heads has hardly any water coming out. The other shower head has good water pressure. I have sprayed CLR on the shower head but it doesn't appear to have helped. The house was purchased last year with the shower installed, and with the concealed parts - I am not sure how to take it apart to find the problem.

Try soaking it in vinegar...this will help break some things that CLR will not. Soak it for five minutes, then rinse, and try again. It will help a lot...rate if it helps!

Water is coming out between the plastic grid and the chrome head, water is also irregular, how do i fix it?

try inserting the head in a bucket of CLR calcium remover for a while as it may be blocked up spray holes building up a pressure that is escaping by coming where you see
other than that buy a new shower rose.( head)

I can't get shower head pressure from the outer head of my new grohe freehander.

Everything you installed new. Please chack if not one of the gaskets came in a pipe or a line. I once had a rubber ring almost complete blocking the water flow.

Freehander leaks at shower heads

Hi

Thank you for your query

If you just grab the showerhead with one hand and then unscrew anticlockwise the pipe underneath it should just screw off, once this has been done simply replace the O ring and rescrew

I hope this has been useful

My Hans Grohe rain shower head is having a lighter spray recently. Is there a way to improve the spray force and/or clean it? Thanks, Therese Terschuren

Rain head showers are a nice thought, but they come with a bundle of problems. This is common one, though, so fear not.

As long as your regular shower head isn't losing pressure (I'm assuming that you have at least two heads instead of just one rain head) I would recommend carefully removing the head with an adjustable wrench and letting it soak in CLR (calcium lime rust) for at least an hour. Often times minerals in water will build up in the small holes on a shower head and greatly reduce efficiency.

Remember to apply teflon tape to the threads before carefully retightening the shower head to avoid spraying water from the wrong end!

On the face of the shower head where the water sprays out of ,their should be a threaded nut to unscrew This is called the aerator. This is the part wher the filter screen is .Once you clean this part you should be up and running.
