Microwave fuse mystery

Hey Blaber,

did you ever solve your microwave mystery?

I am having the exact same problems with mine. It's a different model though.
a Galanz 900W (or a EuroTech).

Same thing that you reported. Trip swich breaker goes, reset to discover fuse in microwave gone. change that, happens again. change that, happened again.

no clue as to why it is happening, as it happens when the microwave isn't
even in use.

Please tell me you know how to fix it!!
Thank you

If it goes dead or blows the breaker when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

A 1.25A Fast Blow fuse may blow if it it feeding the low voltage tramsformer and the mains is noisy or dirty.
I will not suggest a different type of fuse as it is a safety issue and you should look at getting a service engineer to check it out.

My advantium 120 died ( shut down completely) when I was baking a pizza, I checked the outlet it is fine, I unplugged to oven and tried it again, it didn't do nothing, i don't have any light in the control...

I can't solve your problem, but mine did the same thing. I had the repairman look at it. I have an extended warranty so the call was free. He checked the fuse it was good.
I can't remember the exact words he used but it amounted to the brain of the microwave was broke.
They said it would cost to much to replace so they gave me my prorated purchase price.
I am going to call them Monday and ask exactly what the problem was.
I will get back to you.
It could be the same thing.

Unit just died for no reason?

Take the cover off...comes apart many different ways on various models. Once cover is removed look for blown fuses...should be one on the main input near the power cord. May be additional fuses at the transmitter. Could also be as simple as removing input power for 15 minutes and then reconnecting; I recommend you try this step first.

Need help with my Gold Star microwave.

i just took out my fuse on the same model. you have to pull down the microwave and take cover off. there should be like 6 screws on backside and cover will slide back and off. then you will see a fuse cover with a small cylinder fuse in a plastic cover. pull it out and check continuity with volt meter. mine unfortunately came up good still, so i dont know what kinda problem mine is having. had a short in light and it popped and power was gone. good luck!!

Generally, you are speaking about a cover for this item..I'm guessing...or the unit would not work. If it is the distributes the energy in the unit. Replace it immediately.

Microwave stopped working

Generally, you get something unless the fuse inside is blown. There is generally a fuse inside the unit when you remove the button package. First, make sure that the outlet you have is good. Plug something else into it and see that it works.
