I would like to know what Pyle Monitors are compatible with a Flip Video Camera?

Can any pyle monitor handle direct USB connection to play back Flip Video on larger screen?

If not pyle monitor than what monitor is compatible with Flip Video? What connection would be required to play Flip video on larger monitor?

Yes you can do that,
Follow these steps :
•Connect your camera to the VGA converter box via an RCA video cable. Plug one end of the cable into the yellow composite RCA port on the converter box and plug the opposite end of the cable into the yellow composite video port on the camera.
•2
Connect the converter box to your computer monitor via the box's VGA port. For CRT monitors, plug the monitor's built in VGA cable into the VGA port on the converter box.
•3
Use a VGA-to-VGA cable to connect an LCD monitor to the converter box. Run the VGA cable from the VGA port on the converter box to the VGA port on the back of the LCD monitor.
•4
Use the three-mode resolution switch on the side of the converter box to set the video quality and resolution of the converted signal--your monitor will likely support all three resolution modes.
•5
Plug the tip of converter box's power adapter into the red DC power port on the converter box--plug the transformer end of the cable into a power outlet. Power on the camera, the VGA converter box and your monitor.

Yes they do come with the diret usb connection as well.

    Usb connection will work.

    Follow these steps :
    •1
Locate the USB output on your camera. On some models it is near the front, right next to the lens, while on other models it is on the back or in the control cavity underneath the LCD screen. Consult your particular model's owner's manual for the exact location.

    •2
Connect the camera's USB output to to your computer's USB port via a USB cable. Most modern computers come with multiple USB ports, and they are typically located on the side on laptops and on the front or back on desktop towers.

    •3
Power on your camera and flip out the LCD screen. You should be presented with the option "Playback Files on Computer" or something very similar.

    •4
Select the "Playback Files on Computer" option. This should prompt a menu to pop up on your computer asking what you'd like to do.

    •5
Click the "Open Folder to View Files" to access your camera's hard drive. You can now drag and drop the clips you want from your camera to your computer for storage and editing.

I have just install a rear view camera and monitor,it comes on when i put car in reverse but as soon as i touch the foot brake the monitor shuts of,why does it do this?

It sounds like you connected to the conductor (wire) that controls the actuator that locks out shifting the transmission which is then disabled when you actuate the brake.

Please provide the model of the car and video system; I may be able to get an electrical schematic and trace out the signals.

The Green wire is a reverse trigger wire. It should be tied into the reverse light hot wire. This tells the monitor to turn on and switch to Video 2 so that it displays what is seen by the backup camera. When you take the vehicle out of reverse thus removing power from the green wire, the monitor switches back to normal driving mode. ( no video displayed ).

Pyle plcm7300bt what does the green wire reverse car wire connect to + or ground

The green wire connects to the backup lights control. When the gear shift is in "Reverse" this acts as the switch on the "Monitor" and turns the system on so you can see what's behind you to safely "Backup" Hope this helps you.

There is a black power cable with two leads for the power for the camera but I don't have in the instructions what to do with it

This is how to hook up the Pyle PLCM7300BT:
On the license plate camera, plug the black cable provided with 2-wires inside (one red and one black) to its counterpart on the camera. On the open end of this black cable, strip and connect the black wire to the car/truck metal body part.
Connect the red wire from the camera and the green wire from the monitor (part of the big black cable from the monitor) to the power wire to the back-up lamp socket.
Connect the Red wire from the monitor to a switched terminal on the fuse box so that it would only have power when you have the ignition key on.
The rest of the wiring is simple and common sense.
To operate, turn on the ignition of you car/truck and put it on reverse you should see the camera view. Put the car/truck on Park, the monitor screen should go back, if not, push the power button once.
To set up the blue tooth: Push the power button on the monitor so that you can see the blue screen and "no Input". Put your phone on discoverable mode and push scan for device. AT the same time push the "pair" button on the monitor.

I did all the figuring out on the bench using a 12 VDC power supplies and contact switches to make sure I understood how it worked. Once installed on my 1988 Suburban, it worked as expected.

The only problem I had to patch the long green wire (reverse car) so that it reached the back-up light socket.

Let me know if you still have problems. Email me at wayne.tan@wdc.com
