Getting to setup pages

I got page 192.168.1.1 ok then changed the setting to AP. I then got page 192.168.1.2 ok I then changed the fixed IP to DHCP and said apply.

I now can't get back to any page on the EOC-3220 EXT my laptop says it is connected and I get a wirless signal from the the device (but can't connect wirelessly) I've tried pinging these IPs but get no response

How can I reset the device if I can't get to its browser page?

I'm sure the answer is good but I'm using a laptop direct not a router.

Apparently the solution is to connect the laptop to the 3220 via a null Modem cable and perform a reset using Hyperterminal so I am going to try that, Listen for the bang!!!

Look at your DHCP client table on your router to find the IP address of the device.  You can identify if via the MAC address on the table (and sticker the 3220)

How do I reset the EOC-3220 / EOC-3220 EXT / EOC-3220+ back to factory default settings?
An RS-232 null modem serial cable is required for this procedure.

    1. Connect the EOC-3220 to your computer with a null modem serial cable.

    2. Start a HyperTerminal session: Click Start and then select Programs -> Accessories -> Communications -> HyperTerminal.

    3. After the HyperTerminal window appears:
    a. Give this new connection a name. Ex: EOC-3220.
    b. Select correct COM port. Ex:COM1.
    c. Set baud rate as "38400", data bits "8", parity "none", stop bits "1", and flow control as "None". Then press “OK” to bring up the HyperTerminal window.
    d. Unplug the power on the POE injector and wait 5 seconds then plug the power back in.

    4. Wait until the "#" is displayed in the HyperTerminal window.

    5. Type "flash reset", then hit enter.

    6. Type "reboot", then hit enter. After the device reboots, all settings will be at factory default.

NEW: Keenan Systems has written a software that will soft reset the 3220 series back to factory reset. This free software is provided "AS IS" by Keenan Systems and is not supported or guaranteed by EnGenius Technologies. Use at your own risk.

My PS3 can't find the IP address for my wireless router and I don't know how to enter it

possible cause is that ps3 uses an ip address leased from the wi fi router via its DHCP Server in Router. If PS3 was off for a while another computer on Wi FI network may have been assigned the IP address that the PS3 thinks it has.
Try page 29 of
http://au.playstation.com/media/2Pv7AFEC/CECH-2102B_2103B-3.20_UKANZ[EN]_vf1.pdf
on page 31 change the ip address setting to manual
set ip to 192.168.0.254 subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Now exit setup
Then go back into Setup
Change IP address setting to Auto
Why

This will renew the ip address from the DHCP server to the ps3 hopefully allocating you a fresh IP address lease .

My router can not access dhcp. Why?

A DHCP Reservation is a permanent IP address assignment. It is a specific IP address within a DHCP scope that is permanently reserved for leased use to a specific DHCP client.
You can configure a DHCP reservation in your DHCP server when you need to reserve a permanent IP address assignment. You can use these reservations for DHCP-enabled devices like print and file servers or other application servers which always have the fixed IP address on a network.
To configure a DHCP reservation, follow the steps provided below:

Step 1:
Access the router's web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
NOTE: To learn how to access the web-based setup page on a Mac computer, click here.
Step 2:
Click Setup > Basic Setup.

Step 3:
Make sure that the DHCP Server option is Enabled. Click the DHCP Reservation button if you want to assign a fixed local IP address to a MAC address.

Step 4:
When you click on DHCP Reservation, a new web browser window will pop-up. Click the Select checkbox to reserve a client's IP address. Click the Add Clients button afterwards.

If you want to manually assign an IP address, enter the client's host name in the Enter Client Name field. You can do this as well in the IP Address and MAC address fields.
Step 6:

I have a netgear WGR14 v9 router and my xbox360 wont let me play NBA game because i have NAT is strict and i need to open NAT. I have tried everything i can read on it and nothing seems to work.......can...

Try:
1
Plug the AP+4 directly into your computer via Ethernet cable. This is usually a yellow cable that is provided with the AP+4. Plug on end of that cable into the computer you are setting up the AP+4 and the other end into one of the four numbered ports on that AP+4. (Note: Make sure to have your computer off. If your computer has a wireless connection to your network disable it. If you computer has a static IP be sure to set it to DHCP.)

Next, open up your web browser (we recommend using Internet Explorer or Firefox). Delete the address that is currently present in the Address Bar.

Once the address is deleted, type http://10.0.0.200 into the Address Bar.
Press Enter.

2 You will now be logged into the Status Page of the AP+4. On the left side, click the option that reads Setup Wizard.

Click on the Next button to get started on the wizard.

3 You will now be on "Choosing an Operating Mode" screen. Here you will select Ethernet Client.

Click on Next to continue.

4 The next page is "Selecting a Time Zone." You can skip this and click Next to continue.
5 This will bring up the "LAN Interface Setup" screen.

On this page, you will need to change DHCP to Client. Once that is done, click Next to continue.

6 You will now be on "Setting up Internet Connection."

WAN Access Type needs to be set to DHCP Client. Once it is set to DHCP Client, you can click Next to continue.

7 The "Configuring the Wireless Network" screen will open.

This is where you will need the SSID and Channel of your network. Change the current SSID to match the one provided by your wireless router. Also, change the Channel to match that of your router as well. Once those are changed, you can also change Wireless Operation to Client. Click Next to continue.

8 This will take you to the final page of the Setup Wizard "Setting Up Wireless Security."

Here is where you need the Encryption type and Passphrase/Network Key. Enter the Encryption to match that of your router, if applicable. If you do have encryption, you will have a Network Key or Passphrase, depending on the Encryption type. Select Passphrase if you use WPA or WPA2. Select Hex if you are using WEP. Once the Network Key or Passphrase has been entered, click Finish.

9 Power down your computer and remove the AP+4. Plug the AP+4 into the Ethernet port of your gaming console. Follow the instructions that came with your gaming console to set up your Internet connection. The AP+4 will appear to be a Wired Connection to your Gaming Console.

Wireless connection doesn't work (ip not in subnet)

I had fits getting it setup myself for wireless. Despite any efforts to use the wired connection to change the wireless settings, I just couldn't get it to work. I ended up printing the configuration page to learn the expected SSID and then changing the SSID on my wireless router to match the SSID the printer was polling for. At that point it acquired a wireless address properly. Because I was several hours into making it work, I never tried changing anything else after I got it working.

WAP connecting to another WAP

On the D-Link WAN page, change IP Address to static and give it an address about 30 away from both the Hawking and the Linksys. On the DHCP page, disable DHCP.

In a multiple router network such as yours, you can only have ONE real router. The others have to be disabled as routers. Disable thier DHCP and give them static addresses that are all at leat 10? or more from each other. Wireless should all be the same setup. The on;y exception is the SSID which can be slightly different to know which wireless you are on.

    NO IP or MAC displayed

Solution: IP of 0.0.0.0 means your DHCP server is not providing configuration settings to your network card. Reset router/access point by pressing the reset button with your finger, the tip of a pen, or a paper clip for at least 30 seconds. Try again! If this solution doesn't work, try turning off computer, turn off router/AP, and DSL/Cable modem. Turn on devices in reverse order. First power on modem, then router/AP, then computer. Connect to router/AP and see if it provides IP. If this solution doesn't work, your DHCP settings are not configured correctly. See router's manufacturer manual or visit their Web site.
