Ok a couple things this sounds like
1 the dual power button on back of power supply needs to be triped
2 the power supply took a dump on you need to replace power supply
if your motherboard had crashed you would have had a meltdown in tower and you would have smelled it like burnt plastic
sometimes comps require a beefier power supply and most basic comps come with twiggy kind of power supplys
depends on how many toys you have in your system and how long its being ran

Computer won't load past Boot and now doesn't display anything!

the memory stick going in one way into the module. If you can't close the clips try to rotate it 180 degrees.

when windows starts hit F8 key and select disable automatic start on system failure.
This will bring you a blue screen with the specified error

also you can boot from windows xp cd and at first screen select repair, this will put you in recovery console
in recovery console you can scan your hardrive for errors like this:
chkdsk c: /p /r

Orange Light permanently on motherboard. PC won't start

If all you did was change hard drive
I suspect the hard drive has been installed wrong
Ensure blue or red stripe goes to the number 1 pin on M/board and the stripe goes next to the 4 pin power supply on hard drive

My mother board is not working

You have a hardware problem. You'll have to open up the pc and try reseating all the cards and the memory. If it persists and you have more than 1 memory module, you could try them 1 at a time
