How do i turn on the wirelless antena on a aspire one D260?

Check whether there is a wireless button just below the edge of the computer.
If its not there, Check on the function keys(F1 to F12) whether u see a wireless icon like an antenna or a satellite.
If u get that, hold down the Fn key and press that function key.
Now your wireless will be activated.

My wireless switch is turn off, how do I turn it back on?

Step 1
Check the front and sides of your laptop. Their may be a switch that you slide to turn your wireless capabilities on or off. If there is a switch, slide it to "on." Your internet should be working.

If there is no switch, move on to step 2.

Step 2
Look up at the top of your keyboard. If there was no switch on the front or sides, there will be a key (in the Function keys, F1, F2, etc) which has a picture of an antenna on it. Push that button.

Your internet should be working. If not, go to step 3.

Step 3
If you found the key with the picture of the antenna/tower on it and pushing it didn't work, sometimes you have to hold down the "Fn" (Function) key while pressing the antenna/tower key.

Your internet should be working!

I can not find the switch on my HP Pavilion notebook computer, to

does the manual give any clues on how to activate the wifi ? There's usually a function key (F1 - F12) with a picture of an antenna on it; hold down the Fn key and whatever key had the antenna on it. You should be able to access wireless internet.

I can't connect to the internet

I'm assuming you run some sort of windows...

go to your control Panel

For Vista/XP, click on the windows/start button (lower left hand corner of your screen)

Click on Control Panel, and then click on your networking

If your internal wireless modem is disabled, the internet will not work

If it is disabled, then right click and click on enable.

If it is enabled already, you can click on troubleshoot

Can't find the wireless antenna on my msi u100 series laptop

Not really sure what you are expecting. The wireless antenna is within the computer--you won't see it.
What you will need to do is to turn the wireless networking on. This is done in some computers with a small switch on the case (in this case, there is usually a light that comes on when you turn the switch on). In other cases, you will have to use the Fn key plus one of the special function keys at the top of the unit (has a picture representing a wireless connection on it--possibly something like an antenna).
If this fails, go into your network connections and see if the wireless connection is actually turned on. If you have Vista, this is sorta easy as you click on "connect to" and then choose "wireless network"

Cant find the switch on my laptop to make me wireless

I can't find any info about that laptop on the internet. If you have xp, go to start menu, control panel, network connections and see if you have a wireless internet connection in there. If not, you do not have a wireless card in your laptop. If you do have that connection, right click to enable it.
Please rate, thanks!

Internet connection

Some laptops have a small switch on the body of the laptop that turns on/off the wireless connection, check for that first. Otherwise, it can be disabled with the function keys on the keyboard. Press and hold the 'fn' key and then press the key in the top row that has the little antenna icon, that should re-enable it.

Wireless internet for desktop.

Not sure what type of laptop you have, but look at the function keys on your keyboard (F1, F2, F3). Normally one of those will have an Antennae looking icon, if so then press your fn key and that key and it should turn it on.

Have a new Satellite P305-S8812 notebook and cannot connect to the internet wirelessly. N Rounter just installed. Computer has B/G wireless technology. Do I need an adapter for the notebook to connect?

nope there is no need for any adapters

but all you need is to turn on the wireless adapter on your laptop and that would be either a button on the sides to turn on and off the wireless adapter or its a key (function key) on your keyboard (its always with an antenna shape and blue colored) if u have that key then click and hold the (Fn blue colored key) and the (antenna blue colored key) and release both that should turn on the wireless adapter.

and notice that with the new routers there is a security key that is already set up in the router (it should be in the back of the router and mostly 10 digits).

that should be all my friend
