Hello try adjusting the picture in the menu go convergance setting, click auto convergance if it does not adjust then you may a faulty convergance ic ,these are 2 big black chips that are connected to a metal frame called a heat sink they are usually located behind the tuner board,
also there are some resistor in front of the chips and capacitors at either end these will need to be tested as well it's quite a big job to do yourself even harder if you have no electronic experience.

Does my Sony kdl55w829b 55 inch HD 3D Smart tv have a built in 3D transmitter to use with the active 3D glasses ? If so how do you activate 3D viewing ?

This TV has the active 3D transmitter built in to it in some regions. It is included for the model sold in the U.K.

You need to register the Active 3D glasses before they will work with the TV. To register the glasses, turn on the TV and bring the glasses within .5m of the TV. Then press and hold the power button on the glasses for 2+ seconds (until the power button blinks alternating green and yellow). When the registration is successful, a message will show on the bottom of the TV and the green light will stay on for 3 seconds. This will need to be repeated if you use the Active 3D glasses with another TV and then use them again with this TV.

Now you need to activate the 3D feature on the TV. Press the 3D button on the remote or press the control bar on the Touchpad remote and slide the touch pad to the 3D icon and select it. Then choose your 3D option. You may also need to adjust the 3D display settings from the Home button. Press Home and select Settings. Then choose Display and then 3D.

The manual for the KDL-55W829B is available here: http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/KDL-55W829B . The Help Guide, http://download.sony-europe.com/pub/manuals/tvhc/14HE468112-EN-Print.pdf , has the information on using the 3D feature starting on page 56.

I hope this helps.

Yamaha RX-V471 3D video for blu ray will not display on TV

Your Yamaha is the problem here. It cannot handle the signal and process the 3D as it states. What I would do is hook your player direct to your TV in the manner that it works and feed your audio from a different path to maintain surround system. Your tv/dvd player may have an audio out that you can feed back to the Yamaha .

3D video problem

3D decoding should be done by the PC card itself. If there is no decoding, there will be no 3D effect.

3D option on menu is not slectable

1) you must try again, replace the batteries with new one.
2) if doesnot work call the LG ,company go www.lg.com and get support online via chat, and ask them about your problem.
Most of the time is the Microcontroller section, for VCC +RST+CLOCK problem, this is a difficult for normal persons to test, you must go to the repair shop TV as another option,if the LG company fail.
God bless you
