Question about Philips DVDR520H DVD Player/HDD
The problem is that the tray is moved by a belt, this belt is the problem, it's located under the tray, replace the belt and your problem is solved.

Switch off the unit, remove the cord. Ope the top cover, you will see the loading assembly, just beneath the assembly tou can find a threaded shaft on which OPU is mounted, try to turn the shaft, OPU will start sliding and it will open a small window by which you can see one black belt, just skid this belt so that it turn a while, tray will start coming gently, now hole the tray from outside and gently pull it out, DO NOT apply any lubricant, You shoul dchange the belt now.
