Everytime I try to uninstall Voodoo Chonicles,I get a box that says ghost uninstall. How do I fix this?

I'm assuming this is a download of a bigfish game, if it is don't use the uninstaller, go to "C:\Computer\Program Files\BigFish" or locate your Voodoo Chronicles install location,

then right click the folder "Voodoo Chronicles" & delete the folder, this should give a prompt telling you Voodoo Chronicles will be deleted are you sure?, click yes.

then go to your recycle bin & empty the recycle bin.

Once completed go to your Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, wait for the list to populate then if Voodoo Chronicles is still listed in the list, click uninstall, a message should then be displayed, Voodoo Chronicles can't be found it may already have been uninstalled, would you like to remove this item from the list? Yes or No, Click YES.

All done.

NEED TO KNOW HOW I CAN PREVENT BACKUP FILES FROM GOING INTO MY RECOVERY(D), AND FILLING IT UP. I AM RECEIVING MESSAGE THAT I HAVE LOW DISK SPACE IN RECOVERY DISK. HOW DO I FREE UP THIS SPACE, AND HOW

Are you sure the files are going in there? Many times the manufacturers only allocate the size that they need partitioned on that drive. I have seen many cases where that drive is full from factory and people always get that message.

  1. Click Start c01508537.gif and right-click Computer .
  2. Select Properties .
  3. Click System Protection from the left side of the Window.
  4. In the section "Automatic restore points", remove the selection next to the D: drive, and then click OK . If the D: drive was not selected, close this window. Figure 3: System Protection tab with D: drive unselected
    c01556005.jpg
  5. Right-click Start Explore All Users .
  6. Before you can remove the backup files and folders, you need to be able to view hidden system files as follows:
    1. From the explorer window press the Alt key on the keyboard to make the menu bar appear in the window.
    2. From the file menu, click Tools , and then select Folder Options .
    3. Select the View tab.
    4. Select Show hidden files and folders , remove the selection from Hide protected operating system files and then click OK .
  7. From the Folder Options window in explorer, double-click Recovery (D:) .
  8. If a Window opens stating "You don't currently have permission to access this folder" opens. Click Continue .
  9. If you previously copied or created any files into Recovery (D:) and you want to keep them, copy them to another drive - such as the C: drive.
  10. Find and delete any files that you previously copied onto the Recovery (D:) drive.
CAUTION:Do not delete any files that are associated to recovery! Do not delete the items RECOVERY, $RECYCLE.BIN, boot, hp, PC-Doctor, pcdr, or PRELOAD! Doing so can prevent a future system recovery from the hard drive. If you are not sure, do not delete the file.
Press Shift + Delete to permanently remove the files.
To delete files created from MS Backup (MS Backup files are not recovery files), find and delete the folder with the same name as the computer name in the Recovery (D:) partition. For example if the computer name is BOB-PC, the folder containing the backup files would be named BOB-PC and would be deleted.
  11. Several confirmation windows open. Click Continue , and Yes until the folder is deleted.
  12. To set Windows Folder Options back to their original setting as follows:
    1. From the explorer window press Alt to view the file menu.
    2. Click Tools , and then select Folder Options .
    3. Select do not show hidden files and folders and select Hide protected operating system files .
    4. Click OK .
  13. Close explorer. The Out of Disk Space errors should no longer appear. If you would like to use the Microsoft Backup Tool again, open it and select a different external backup device to store the backup files on.

Cannot delete files or folders

In the SimpleDrive Pininfarina FAQ's it suggests that the files may have come from a different computer and therefore be secured, thus you will need to change the Security Properties of the folder & contents to give yourself access to these files in order to be able to delete them.

See example properties from a Windows 7 folder.

Fixing a corrupted yahoo messenger.exe

·If you have a corrupt file in your Yahoo! Messenger directory.

To fix the problem, you must manually delete the "Messenger" directory on your C: drive (default), then reinstall the Yahoo! Messenger application.

All archives will be deleted if they are not copied. If you have a Flash drive copy it. If none, copy them like this:

CLOSE Yahoo! Messenger (if it is currently running).

Go to your Desktop and double-click "My Computer."

Select the "C:" drive.

Go to: C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles

Your "Profiles" folder contains your complete Message Archive. Copy it to the a different folder on your computer and RENAME IT AND save..

Now you can DELETE the Yahoo Messenger by deleting the directory:

CLOSE the Yahoo! Messenger application if you currently have it running. Make sure all instances of Internet Explorer are CLOSED.

Go to your desktop and double-click "My Computer."

Click the "C:" drive.

Go to C:\Program Files\Yahoo!

Highlight the Yahoo! Messenger folder and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

DEFRAG your computer files to remove those empty spaces resulting from the deletion.

TO INSTALL:

CLOSE all running applications EXCEPT for your Internet browser.

DISABLE YOUR ANTI VIRUS/ANTI SPY PROGRAM/S. Most times they interfere in the downloading/installation process.

Click the link below to download Yahoo Messenger

http://messenger.yahoo.com/webmessengerp…

Click the "Download Now" button.

Double-click the Yahoo Messenger executable once the download completes to begin the installation process.

COPY MESSAGE ARCHIVE

Go to your Desktop and double-click "My Computer."

Select the "C:" drive.

Go to: C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles

Drag/drop the copy of your Message Archive to the NEW Yahoo Messenger folder\Yahoo\Messenger\Profiles.

ENABLE YOUR ANTI VIRUS/ANTI SPY PROGRAM/S

I can not download or remove or add any new programs or msn

There is another way of getting rid of programs in your computer other than going to your Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs menu. Try to locate the where the program is installed. If your computer has more than 1 partition (e.g. Local Drive C, Local Drive D, and so on), see which partition has that program. Use Search function from your Start menu (located on the lower left of your screen), click on All Files & Folders then 2 rectangular white boxes will appear. On the 1st box you type the name of the program you are looking for then click on Search button below. Once the results are displayed, right click on the listed program (it should exactly be the program you wish to remove, okay?) & choose Open containg folder. Once there, you can now manually delete each file & delete the folder itself. If there are files that Windows won't let you delete, try renaming them by changing their filename extension. This is especially true with files having a .dll at the end (those are driver files, they say). Change .dll into .txt then hit Enter key. If still you can't delete them after changing the filename extension, you may have to restart your computer & go back to those files to see if you can delete them already (they should NOW be deletable). Once all files & the folder containg it are gone, go to your Control Panel's Add/Remove menu. Click on the program you were trying to remove to highlight it then click Remove button. It should display a dialog box saying, "This program or the folder containing this program have been removed. Do you wish to remove it from this list?" Select YES.

I hope this will solve your problem. Let me know if it worked on your computer, okay?
