Question about Coby MP-C951 Digital Media Player
I have a Coby mpc-951. It now has some corrupt filenames and the computer doesn't see all of the folders. I have tried to reformat the mp3, the system processes but the files are still on the mp3. What would happen if I took the bulk eraser to the hard drive? Aren't the brains on a prom in there? I do have the books and disk stuff. Coby only supports their stuff for 90 seconds and reccomends any and all service places (ugh!)
Thankfully you can redonload the firmware from the Coby website:

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
