Yes it is a pressure washer.

  • slzrmk Oct 05, 2010

This phone number is just the service no. which I already got off the net. They do not have a rebuild kit.

  • slzrmk Oct 05, 2010

They do not have parts. They do have tho hole pump/motor assembly for $500. I only gave about $100 new.

  • slzrmk Oct 06, 2010

They do not have parts. They have the whole motor pump assembly for $500 This is not a good solution for a $100 washer.

Ok actually there is something similar to what you are looking for, you can get all the parts. Just give this number a call and they will get the parts arranged for you: 1.800.521.8559

    Thanks

I was afraid of that, in that case no kit exists for this pressure washer. They should have individual parts you need to replace though at that number if you desire.

    Thanks

I would suggest you keep an eye out for another one then.... I am looking to see if I can find the part for any less....

    Give me a bit here

    Thanks

I think that is the only real option, it sounds like it is going to be better to just replace this washer.

    Thanks

It keeps dying even after being charged.

You need a new battery. I could describe how to rebuild the old one if you are so inclined to do that type of thing. It would save you some money over buying a new one. It looks like it is a specialized piece of cleaning equipment and buying a replacement battery would be fairly expensive.

Those type of vacuums are designed for light duty work around homes anyways. For commercial industrial work as you are doing you need a sump pump. We used to drop one in a 5 gallon (20 liter) pail, drill holes in the pail and suspend from a rope. (you can put screen around the pail covering the holes if needed too). Use a stiff hose to expell the water. You can change to a flat hose like a pool waste water hose or fire hose after the water is out of the trench.

At first when I tried starting my B & S I primed the motor and it ran for a few seconds and died. This happened twice. I drained the tank and took apart the cvarb and blew out the entire carb. Put it...

Hi tifix1...
Yes, that could cause your problem.
I will offer a few more things to check and repair/replace, maybe there is a few things that you missed.

Sounds like you have dirt/debris in your caburetor jets, fuel passages or a diaphgram that is becoming non-flexible.
Check/Clean/Replace your Air Filter, a dirty air filter can make your engine run to rich with fuel.
Note: ALWAYS USE COMPRESSED AIR TO CLEAN YOUR JETS AND PASSAGES, VERY IMPORTANT.
Note:Before you disassemble the carburetor:
Mark each piece with a awl, or some kind of instrument that will make an alignment scratch before you disassemble the carburetor into separate pieces.
That way you will know which way it goes back together when you reassemble it.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or by using starting fluid and letting it run a few times like that, and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
Check you fuel line condition after a while they will degrade and need replacment.
Check/Clean/Replace your fuel filter if you have one.
When you remove your fuel lines from the carburetor be sure to make a drawing to how the lines are connected to the carburetor.
Normally the big line will be the line the fuel filter is connected to inside of the tank. The smaller of the two lines is the return to the fuel tank from the carburetor after it is pumped thru the carburetor by the primer bulb.
Make sure you are using fresh fuel...and oil mix if your using a two cycle mower or weedeater with the oil to the right mixture and not too much oil as it can cause hard starting.
If the trimmer is over a couple of years old, then I recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
The diaphgram may look good and flexible, but it can be deceiving and not act as a fuel pump as it should because it has become too hard and will cause hard starting, start and run and shut off, etc.
When you clean your carburetor, I recommend that you use a laquer thinner type cleaner to clean and dissolve the laquer build-up in the float and needle jet passages.
Be sure to remove all plastic and rubber parts before using the laquer thinner because it can dissolve the plastic parts and render them unuseable.
Be sure to use COMPRESSED AIR to blow out all the fuel and air passages. The higher air pressure is needed to blow some of the trash/debris from the fuel or air passages.
Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.
Keep in mind that the float (if you have one) for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor or follow the instructions you get with the carburetor kit, or you could also ask the parts man that you get your kit from.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws.
But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.
Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper.
That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their original position before you started.
Note:
The little spring inside of the carburetor goes under the float arm.
That is where your fuel inlet needle/float valve is located...on the arm at the end.
Normally there is a small indetion in the carburetor base and a small protrusion on the underneath of the float arm where the spring will be in the right postion for installation.
The spring will set in the indention and you will install the float arm with the needle/float valve and float rod into position over top of the spring, you will push down until it is in position and then you can tighten the screw that holds the float arm assembly in position.
Once you have your carburetor cleaned/rebuilt that should solve your problem.

Cant get my soap dispenser hose working on my karcher winner 10, any suggestion?, lost my instructions manual so dont know weather i need to be doing anything for it!

If you have not yet found a solution, then here are some steps to take.
1. The soap dispenser only works on low pressure!!!!!!! So you have to REMOVE the high pressure Sprayer so that all you use is the Trigger Gun without the Extender.
2. Pull out the thin Plastic Hose with the filter attached in the end, and insert into your container of detergent.
It will only splatter the detergent over the area you want to clean, so you will then need to REATTACH the SPRAYER into the hand gun to work with the soap to lather, clean and spray of till clean.
This seems to be the way the system works on this model......also known as K2.36M (AU) in Australia or (EU) in Europe on the Karcher.com.au site then Service then Manuals. or on the link below.
Hope this helps any of you who has misplaced their Owners Manual just like I did and had a great problem trying to find a link as Karcher doesn't recognize the Model No: as Winner 10 or 11.

Cheers, Luke

K5500 vs DS5500

The K5500 is an older model and doesn't come with the same amount of tools that the DS5500 comes with. You can usually tell the difference that the K5500 is an older model as its grey with yellow inserts. The latest DS5500 is all in yellow with black inserts and has some improvements made to the durability of its plastic body.

Wont heat up

I know that Karchers steam cleaners have had issues with the thermal overload. I have repaired Karcher machines that got turned on with no to little water in the tank and it would heat up really fast and trip the thermal overload. The thermal overload is to reset it self when it cools down but the problem has been the thermal overloads get stuck and dont reset. When they stick, they will give the same signs you have said. In those cases the thermal overload has needed replaced. The thermal overload did its job to trip, but it fails when reseting. I understand you don't want to throw more money into it, but that is the only thing you can do. You can get the part and do it your self, but they are tricky machines to get into and you dont want to break something trying to get in. Hope this helped.
