Question about Toshiba Satellite L20-S310TD Notebook

1 Answer

My monitor hit with a childs ball. All you can see is one clear pic about 2 inches around up in the left hand corner. I wanted to just toggle and add a monitor to it. When I attached the monitor and power it up, it works until you get to the signon screen then the monitor displays NO SIGNAL. Tried the fn f5 ~ does not seem to be toggling? ANY assistance/possible solutions is appreciated!! Thanks!

You will need a VGA splitter cable so both monitors will run from the same port. Unplug the damaged monitor and the good one should remain working.

SOURCE: Need to see display on both laptop and projector

On most laptops pressing the Fn key plus the F5 key (in your model laptop) several times will cause the video to switch to different options
In the various laptops I've used with data projectors it is the same.
If you plug in the data projector and power it up then the laptop then the Windows image will be on the data projector (provided the laptop's screen resolution matches the data projector).
To toggle between the data projector only, the LCD screen, then LCD screen plus data projector, and or back through this sequence, just press the Fn key and the F5 key to get the displays you want .

Hit the "2nd" button in the upper left hand corner of the keypad, and then the "+" button (lower right hand corner). Then either click the down arrow once and then "enter" or just hit the "2" button. (the selection should say "2: Mem Mgmt/Del...") Hit Enter again (selecting the "1: All..." selection) Scroll through the programs on her calculator and either hit the "Del" button (upper right hand corner of the keypad) to delete the programs/variables, or hit "ENTER" to archive them. The archived programs have an asterisk, " * ", in front of them. (Note: Once you delete the programs, you CAN NOT get them back) If you have variables on there "L1" "A" etc. you can delete them and use them again later, obviously.

You can bypass this whole thing and just do "2nd" "+" "7". This combination will reset the calculator and delete any programs that are unimportant to the calculator. You will be left with the "Finance..." option in the APPS menu only...nothing else. You should be able to clear up the problem either way.
