Question about ASUS P7H55M PRO (90MIBBB0G0EAY0KZ) Motherboard

1 Answer

Worked perfectly until I put PC into storage for 5 week's holiday. Now no video. Upon switching it on, after short delay I hear a long pip followed by two shorter ones, and later, the normal startup pip. The HDD seems to be working as it seems to go into Windows startup mode, but my screen just says "No signal". I have tested the screen and cable on another machine - OK. I have repeatedly checked the plugs. I have attempted to bypass the video card by plugging into the motherboard video outlet. I have checked that the video card has not become dislodged. Any suggestions? Thanks

Disconnect the AC power.
Physically remove the "add-on" video-card,
to force the motherboard to use the "integrated' video-card.
Connect the AC power,
and boot to see if any video is displayed.

Disconnect the AC power.
Temporarily disconnect the power-cables and data-cables
from the disk-drive, and the CD-drive.
Remove any other "add-in" cards (sound? TV tuner? network?)
If there's more than one stick of RAM, reduce it to one stick.

Connect the AC power,
and boot to see if any video is displayed in this "bare-bones" configuration.

Try the add-in video-card in another computer, just to confirm that it still works.

Refrigerator was bought 5yrs ago(brand new)it worked perfectly until then....put it in storage 4 six months...when i moved it into my house i plugged it up...can hear it on but yet to get cold....left it...

Hi
Is your fridge compressor motor working and can you hear it turn on and off every hour or so. Not to be confused with the sound coming from the fan inside the fridge.
If the motor is working but neither the fridge or freezer compartment are getting cold, then there may have been a rupture during transport and gas has escaped.

Hi there, So, my problem is the following: My pc worked well until i changed my cpu cooler, it didint turn on, i hear only two short bips after i pushed the turn on button (during this the leds are...

Sounds like the CPU may not be seated properly, did you remove the processor when you replaced the cooler (Heatsync I assume you mean)?
Try powering down and unplugging. removing the heat sync removing the processor. Re-seating the processor making sure it falls into place. then re add the thermal paste(if needed) and heat sync. Check the memory and video card to make sure they are firmly in and then power back on and see if it will boot.
Another thing you can do is check your motherboards manual or website and there is a description of "beep codes" that you can listen for yours and see exactly what its telling you is wrong.
Good luck

No audio output - Marantz 2238

This can be as simple as a poor connection somwhere in the voltage regulator circuit or a defective driver transistor or output transistor. In any case, this is a simple repair for any shop that works on vintage receivers. If it is the outputs, that will be the most expensive repair from a parts perspective. The outputs will cost in the $5-$10 range for each one and it could be 2-4 pieces. If you wish to attempt this repair yourself, you will need a multimeter that has a diode checker. Let me know and I'll provide additional details and instructions.
