My screen is showing Big Icons How do I shorten my screen.

Why did you replace the lcd inverter? Were you able to barely see icons on the desktop which is an indication that the lcd inverter is bad? If not, then you need to replace the lcd screen. If you could barely see the icons and you replaced the lcd inverter, then the inverter is bad. Just because the inverter is new does not mean it works. If the video shows on the external monitor, but you can't see anything on the laptop's screen even when you shine a flashlight on it then the lcd screen is bad.

Screen is black? Does it look like the computer booted up all the way, if so maybe your icons are on the desktop.

From the home screen, tap Settings (yeah, if you can find it — but at least they can’t delete that or any built-in application).
From Settings, hit General, then choose Reset.



From the Reset menu, choose Reset Home Screen Layout. When it asks you to confirm, tap the big red Reset Home Screen button.



And you’re done. Your iPhone’s icons will be back to the way Apple ships them

Open Control Panel select Display click the Appearance tab then click Effects and uncheck the Use Large Icons option.

triple tap the screen with three fingers. That should zoom it back out.
