You need to use the supplied Sansa Media Converter program to convert photos (and videos) to a format the Sansa can handle. If you need the SMC, you can download it from

I put pictures from my wedding disk on my 8gb and it says unsupported media format and to visit this website

The Sansa Media Converter (SMC) software is required to convert and transfer videos and photos (pictures) to your Sansa player as well as the memory card in your Sansa player.
Download and install Sansa Media Converter The Sansa Media Converter application is available via the Sansa Firmware Updater. Go here --http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/156/kw/updater/r_id/101834

I downloaded my pictures and it says unsupported media format

Hello

It means that this specific player does not support the file format in which the photos is copied to the player.

Thus, have a look at the manual, see what photo formats is supported by the the player and just convert the pics to the correct format and copy to the player.

Kind regards
Andrea

Why can I not download photos to my new MP3 player. It says unsupported media format

This is because the player only supports audio formats and cannot use the photo file formats. There is no way to fix this as it is how the device is meant to operate.
