Ipod nano I get a error message when trying to install the latest itunes c:documents and settingsownerdesktopitunessetup.exe is not a valid win32 application, how do I fix this?

Either you're about to have a memory panic, so Windows gave you that error as a red herring (just reboot, and it'll clear up) or the file didn't transfer cleanly (and in that case you'd download another copy and try that.)

There is a small chance your antivirus is interfering with things because its heuristic detection is acting paranoid, so you might calm it down if you can repeat the error; or it might be right on, and time to step up the antivirus scans first.

By any chance had you recently upgraded your ITunes to ITunes version 9 or higher? Tune Tools used to work fine for my Ipod Classic 80 gig, but as soon as I upgraded my ITunes to version 9, the Tune Tools 2 stopped working, and I got that exact same java.lang.exception error.

If you have updated to ITunes 9, there isn't anything you can do about it.

Worm.win32.autorun.blw virus appear in my system i already use kesper sky, but not solved. please advise a solution. thanx


When the executable is run on the victim's machine, the worm copies itself to the following locations:
  • %Application Data%\remove.exe (Copy of itself)
  • %Application Data%\autorun.inf
Where %Application Data% = c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data
Autorun.inf has following command
Exp: [autorun]
shellExecute=remove.exe
The worm adds a Run entry in registry so that it executes itself at every startup:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
    "(Default)" = "%Application Data%\remove.exe"
Symptoms -
  • Presence of above mentioned files.
  • Presence of registry entries mentioned above.
Method of Infection Method of Infection - This worm spreads by using autorun.inf on shared drives and removable devices.
Removal - A combination of the latest DATs and the Engine will be able to detect and remove this threat. AVERT recommends users not to trust seemingly familiar or safe file icons, particularly when received via P2P clients, IRC, email or other media where users can share files.
