I have the same issue. The temp setpoint is at 0 but the freezer temp display reads -15. I'm going to get a thermometer in that range and see what the temp actually is.

so do I. Ice cream goes from hard as a rock to soft and back. Ice thaws slightly then refreezes as a block.

So do I. Ice cream is hard as a rock then soft then hard as a rock again.

Ice melts a little then freezes back a a solid block.

Samsung replaced the unit once already (Lowe's brought me a new one) and still the same problem.

My freezer is set on 6 degrees.

My refridgerator freezes the milk, How do i stop it from doing that? The temperature setting is in the normal range and the condensor coil is clean.

There are two setting on a fridge. One that sets the temp of the freezer and one that adjusts the temp of the fridge part. The fridge setting just adjusts the opening between the freezer and the fridge. So the fridge gets it's cool by stealing a little from the freezer. i'd get a fridge thermometer and set it it the fridge and see what the temp really is. The knobs in the fridge may not be accurate. Set the fridge and then move the thermometer over to the freezer and set that. Move back and forth until you get what you want. Usually the lower part of the fridge is a little colder then the top. However if you use the fridge a lot then every time you open the door the cold falls out and the fan will come on and start taking cold from the freezer. Another very cold spot is next to the vent where the cold air comes out from the freezer. Usually up top near the ice maker.

Fridge temp set to 38 is blinking,,reset unit

I had a similar problem, paid a technician $90 to tell me to defrost the entire unit for 15-20 hours, and now it works like new. It is supposed to self defrost, but with poor circulation in the freezer (simply caused by too much stuff in there) the unit frosts up. This caused a rising temp in the freezer leading to inconsistent temps.

Anyone reading this with a similar issue, save your money and defrost it overnight. You should see a pool of water in the bottom of the freezer after defrost if this was the problem.

Temperature showing on door indicates freezer is +19 degrees (currently set for 0) . Cannot adjust temperature to recommended + 6 degrees and when it is set there it goes to +25 degrees). Refrigerator...

Un plug the fridge and remove the top plastic hinge cover...There is a connector there that is for the control panel. Disconnect and reseat that connector...If there is a glob of hot glue there it may keep the connector from totally seating together. Remove the glob of glue.....

Re-apply power and see if that helps...
This fridge is a comptuter controlled machine. It is extremely complex in it's operation....Bummer.....I have one and have worked on it for 3 different problems...
Most service guys are just going to throw parts at it.....they have no understanding of the operation of it...
Here is a link for the service manual that may help if someone in the family can follow instructions...Nice tests....

Good luck....

No problem just use the + and - buttons when you have chosen the temp. you want just let go and that is the temp the fridge or freezer will set at.

The freezer is too cold.the highest temp. is 8.we can't go any higher. Our ice cream is so cold we can't scoop it out. we have an RB215LASH bottom freezer.

The fridge (on/off) is actually regulated by the thermostat in the refrigerator section. If the door leaks, it will force the compressor on too often. Otherwise, there is a port where the cold air is delivered (near ice cubes) -try (partially) blocking it with tape
