Check that the memory card is properly inserted. Its spring loaded, and should latch in with an audible click. We just had this problem on our vacation, possibly caused when changing batteries, the card itself was unlatched, so we got a message "no memory", after the card itself was just downloaded & reformatted. I ended up with two sets of pictures, one in the camera's internal memory and one in the card. (I had to download each set separately)

SD cards top out at 2GB, and any of them may be used with the camera. Any larger cards are SDHC cards and will not work.

Connected the camera with the USB cable at pc, open Explorer pc program to view like a "external device", select your files and copy/paste en each folder. Other way could be using some external device to your SD Card.

Just says unsupported card for any I put in, why? I have not used the camera that much and cannot afford to buy another now, but have need of it, have a 92 year old want to take pictures of. Thanks

This camera is quite old as electronics are concerned and doesn't support the new high capacity cards. To my knowledge it only supports MMC and SD cards up to 128MB. I'm not sure if you can still buy those cards locally, but they should be available in bargain shops or on ebay. Most regular photo and electronics stores these days won't sell anything under 1GB nowadays and that camera simply can't read these. Sorry, I can't help you any further here - you'll just have to try and find and older card.
On the other hand, your camera does have 16MB internal memory, so you could still take pictures (although not many - approx. 12 at the highest quality setting). The camera should automatically use its internal memory when no card is inserted.
Hope that helps

My hp photosmart r707 keeps saying the card is unreadable, buti just used it yesterday. i cant reset it either. it wont let me and the computer wont read it

Sounds like you're connecting things like your camera or your card in a card reader and just yanking them out of your computer without using the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom right of your computer screen.

SD Memory Card

Simple really you need to buy a new memory card that is compatible with your HP photosmart. The card you have is probably designed for toshiba products specifically.
