Thanks Wiz, I consider myself a good mechanic, are these parts easy to r and r? Can I get these parts locally or will I have to order them?

I had the wax switch replace and 2 weeks later, the machine again did not wring the clothing properly.

The problem is not constant and there is no way to predict when it will happen. The only time I can be sure it will happen is when I try to re-rinse or start in the middle of a cycle. It always happens then.

Now the machine has started pouring water out the bottom right side of the door. It seems to be connected somehow with the fabric softener port flush on the 3rd rinse. About4-5 cups of water runs out.

My maytag washer does not spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes. Please advise

Randall, the high speed spin failure can be caused by a number of issues. I would suggest starting the machine without any clothes in it. Once it has filled, make sure the door lock light is on and that the door is, in fact, locked. If the light is not on, or if the door is not actually locked, either the door lock assembly or the control panel is at fault.

If the light is on and the door is locked, stop the wash cycle and start a drain and spin cycle to see if all of the water is pumped out of the drum. All water should be pumped out within 10-15 seconds. If excess water is in the drum, the high speed spin will not start.

The washing machine works fine the only thing is that the spin doesn't work, it starts but never gets to it's optimal speed. Clothes are soaking wet when the cycle ends. Our washing machine is a...

The issue is with the door lock assembly that is bad and should be replaced. If the door lock assembly is bad the control will sense that the door is open and so will not start a spin cycle. If you want you can test the door lock assembly with a voltmeter before replacing it. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Spin cycle works with nothing in the drum but not with clothes in

if your washer does everything but spin, it is a door lock problem. Note: The door does lock, but does not send the correct signal allowing the washer to spin!!

Everything works but it does not spin

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the issue. Click on the link below for the complete and detailed procedure.

It will not spin, it does everything else ok

This problem is commonly caused by the failure of the door lock system. The machine has a safety feature that prevents the high-speed spin cycle to commence unless the machine control detects the door is locked through the door lock switch.

Check if the door lock light is lit. If not, then the door lock and/or the machine control has indeed failed depending on the model number of the machine. If yes, then the motor speed control is the problem. Indicate the exact model of the machine for more specific troubleshooting and repair advice. The model number is necessary for exact replacement part numbers should a part replacement is required.

My wash machine does every thing but spin can you help

The machine does everything but spin because there's a problem in the door lock and switch assembly. The machine control detected the door lock is not activated. This is a safety feature of the machine that prevents the machine from advancing to the spin cycle. The door lock and switch assembly needs to be replaced.

Door lock light doesn;t come on and won't spin.

There is a very good chance that you have a clogged pump. The machine senses that there is still too much water in the machine and will not go into the high spin. Another possiblity is that it thinks that the door is not locked and will not go into the high spin. Usually you will get a fault code with the door lock but not necessarily with the clog. To see if it is the belt just run the machine on an empty load. It it spins, change the belt. If not check for clog or door lock.
