If you only have one jet screw adjust the "H" Jet screw on the carb. Make minor adjustments of less than 1/8th turn. Test engine acceleration after each adjustment.
If you have 2 Jet screws "L" and "H" only adjust the "L" screw.
On the 2 jet carb the "H" screw is adjusted for ideal top engine RPM / Max speed.
The goal is to elimate engine hesitation / stall as you grip the throttle quickly by adjusting the "L" jet screw..

My MTD Yard Machine Y2500 starts fine and works with the choke partly closed. It also idles fine with the choke fully closed but stalls when I press on the throttle when the choke is fully closed.

when the choke is fully closed your choking the fuel out,, thats why when you give i t gas it dies , its not supposed to run with the choke on and getting fuel , use the choke only until the motor warms up to operating temp,, then open it,, and you should be fine,

Your automatic choke is probably sticking. Spray it out with 2+2 Carb and Choke Cleaner. Do this when the car is cold so you don't start a fire. While the car is running see what position the choke butterfly is in when the engine is hot. If it is partially closed you may have a bad spring in the choke mechanism or it may need an adjustment.

Kazuma Jaguar 500- problem keeping it running

It sounds like your motor may be running on the automatic choke until warm, but do this check first:

When it dies check for spark at the plug.If you still have spark then your carb will most likely be the cause, and you will need to strip it and clean out the jets.

Please leave positive feedback if you feel I have helped and come back to me if you need further assistance.

Thank you
