The image is sent by the STL unit in a resolution that is not accepted by the new LG tv.
The only way to fix that is to connect the old tv back, start the dvr, go into its settings and set the output resolution to something your new tv can support - maximum is 1920x1080 x60Hz. Only after that you should connect the LG.

HDMI [High Definition Multimedia Interface]. VGA [Video Graphics Array]. AV [Audio Video]. By these definitions itself talk to you about the inputs your TV have; and it do not support VGA. Output from PC is VGA. Without a VGA input with the TV, you can't connect the PC to TV. I think I'm clear. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Lg 42lt75 used to work with a bp630 blue ray player but now shows "No Signal".

have you tried connecting ur laptop via hdmi to tv? if it works you should probably check tv settings for hdmi, if not then it is possible that the hdmi controller from tv to have some problems, i had a similar problem with a philips tv and took it to service ending up in a total replacement of motherboard and led display

I've been having a few problems with my LG

Good morning to you! When the screen goes black, have you tried to go into setup on the remote. Adjust the brightness of the screen. Or as I am sure you have done to restart the TV when the warning sign comes on the screen that the TV will go off affter 5 min. The classical action is to disconnect both the router and the box that keeps all the stations in it. Disconnect for 2-3 minutes, connect again. I do apologize for not knowing the name in English. ( english is not my mothertounge) Hope this can help you on the way. Then there is always the user manual that can be downloaded free and look in the troubleshooting page. ( I did that the other day, had lost the paper onr) Kolbrun

How do I get my LG AKB73375501 to interface with my Blu Ray player?

It has to be setup with blu-ray by setup codes. If you wish to get more details, check this site. Pull up previous posts there. Setup code list and setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls are given. Three digit, four digit, five digits and two-digit code list are there. Check the site with patience. Surely you'll get a solution to your problem. Search the site by 'Timeslide' option. It will make search easy. Or, type in the brand name to your device into its search box, and press "Enter."

HOW I CONNECT MY LG 47 LED WITH LAPTOP

If you have "HDMI" port then that will give you the best picture. Just connect HDMI lead to both and select the HDMI input through your tv remote and the picture will show. If not you van connect via the VGA output if you have a vga cable. Same process.

I purchased yesterday a 42"

I came across this very same problem a year or so ago regarding a Plasma TV and connection via scart. It turned out to be a problem with the scart lead. Replacing the lead with an all pins connected type fixed the problem. It was caused by the TV not being given the +ve voltage on pin8 and the TV thought it was not a proper signal and shut down.
Hope that helps.

I have a JVC RM-C60 TV. I'm trying to tune it in to my Virgin Media HD box using a standard SCART lead but having no joy. It's completely failing to find the cable channel (or any other for that matter)....

Tuning of the TV not required when using scart lead, just select external input that the scartis connected to, ie AV1,AV2 (EXT1,EXT2) etc. The problem is possibly to do with the Virgin box, it may be set to HDMI out in which case it will not output anything via the scart lead, you would need to connect via an HDMI lead (small socket on the rear of the unit looks a little like a USB socket). Problem is if your TV is a CRT television its unlikely to have this socket. Your Virgin box can be reset to output via the scart but you would need to contact Virgin for this process.

CONNECTIING COMPAQ LAPTOP TO MY NEW 42"LG LCD TV

If the cable from the laptop is connected to the TV, you've selected the VGA input and see no signal, you probably haven't enabled the laptop's VGA output connector. Somewhere on the keyboard will be a function key with a little monitor screen on it. Hold down the F or Fn key and press the monitor key and it will switch on the external monitor connector. On some monitors, the first press shuts off the laptop screen when it turns on the external connector. If yours does that, press the key a second time to turn the laptop screen back on.
