Volume icon missing

Which operating system ??

In Windows and on a Mac, you can use an icon shaped like an audio speaker to adjust the computer's volume or mute the sound output completely.

Whichever operating system you are running, it is possible to remove the volume icon from the screen.

If you have removed the volume icon accidentally, you may not have a convenient way to adjust your computer's sound volume.

Restore the sound icon to resume using it to adjust the volume or mute your computer's sound output.

Click the "System Preferences" icon on the dock.
If you have removed this icon from the dock, click the Apple icon at the top of the screen, then click "System Preferences."

Click the "Sound" icon in the "System Preferences" window.

Place a check in the box at the bottom of the window labeled "Show volume in menu bar."
The sound icon appears at the top of the screen.

RCI 2995DX Had it peaked tuned and realigned plus modulation upgrade done. Some times people say I am over driving and I sound splattered and other times people say its perfect. What could cause this?

People have different idea's of what sounds good. Some people thing that loud and over modulated sounds good, Also, distance has something to do with it too. Some one close is going to hear it more if you are over modulated, where as too some one far away it may not sound over modulated because of the distance.

Also, if some one is really close, then you will sound over modulated, even when you don't. It is not due to over modulation. It is because you are over loading their receive section of the radio because you are close.

You need to have some one you know, and trust as a good judge of audio and do some checks with them. If some one says you sound over modulated, and splattering, you probably are if they are not really close to you. Back it down until they say it has stopped.

How would i know if door switch it is not working on my microwave

Use a multimeter and set it to ohms or continuity (the multimeter could have an audible symbol and when you touch both leads should make an audible sound, most of them work this way), if it's a normally open switch you should have continuity (a sound from the meter or a zero or zeros) when the door is closed only and no sound from the meter when the door is open. If the switch it's normally closed you should hear a sound from the meter when the door is open and no sound when the door is closed. If you have a sound from the meter with the leads connected at each side of the switch regardles if the door is open or closed your door switch is bad or if you don't hear a sound from the meter regardles if the door is open or closed the door switch is bad.
