Service required E527

E527 indicates a developer home position error. With the front cover closed you should be able to freely rotate the cartridge "carousel" from the top with the PCU removed. If it does not rotate smoothly then something is broken and the printer will require stripping completely and the broken parts replaced. If this is the case then it is unlikely to be economically repairable. If the carousel does rotate freely however, then it is one of the following: Either the MCU (engine) Board itself is faulty, there is a wiring fault or the Sensor Rotary Home Position is faulty/dirty. The sensor is the first and most obvious thing to check but it requires taking off the L/H cover and removing the Low/High Voltage power supply board to get at it. I would recommend getting someone experienced at repairing printers to do this, but if you really want to give it a go then follow this link;

What firmware version have you updated to? Check the sensor for the carousel. It could be that the sensor has got a nudged and knocked out of alignment. Remove the PCU and you will see the sensor on the left side above the carousel. Adjust it so it lines up better with the carousel. If it's still bad, check the sensor behind the LV/HV power supply. To do this you will need to remove the two power supply's. Epson Acculaser CX11NF Error 'Service Req E527'

Hi.. To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed, the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall the toner cartridge if stuck.

Thanks

I have a new printer (lexmark E120N Mono Laser) is bringing up a error code, saying service required E527? This machine is only a month old?

it will be better if you ask the vendor for help because your printer is on warranty and they will not charge you anything

Service req E527 error

Try this (as per Epson Tech Support): To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed (as you have already), the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall a stuck toner cartrdige.

I hope this works for you. Let me know please!
