Question about Kitchen Ranges
Directions say "locked Out" means
Red and Green lights flash simaltaneously - had a catastrophic failure
turn off electricity to oven and reset
If oven doesn't ignite in first five minutes it will lock itself out
Both red and green lights were flashing
How do you reset so oven is no longer locked
We haven't found a repairman who can help
The stove is two years old It's from "Stoves of America"
I learned they went out of business in 2002
The model is 850 GRF DO 0590509
Any suggestions who could repair or how we can get stove unlocked so the stove repair man can look at it?
no gas flow sounds like a bad gas regulato on the stove. as for the 5 year old ge profile with ignitors not working, you need a part called a spark modual

Find the paper in the envelope on the back of the stove. (Behind the console.) This will tell you what those fault codes mean. Be sure to replace the paper. If it is needed again, that is where a technician will look for it.

sorry, misinformation, no such child lock existed in those days, either your spark module is bad or your switches are bad, (unusual for all switches to fail simultaneously)

th to replaceere is also an electronic ignitor in the back of the stove that sends the spark to the burners, if they light with a match , then I would check out the back for a little black box

I had the same problem happen tonight. I have an XL44 self-cleaning gas range. We unplugged it for several minutes and pressed 'cancel' a bunch of times--neither worked. We finally lucked out--opened the oven door and pressed a black button on the upper left side of the front of the oven. It turned out the flashing words and unlocked our door. Weird. There was nothing in the manual about this...

Hi, It sounds like the ignitor has gone bad. Remove the floor panel in the oven and locate the ignitor fastened to the burner. There should be 120V going to the ignitor harness.
If you have voltage but no ignition, change the ignitor.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
