External speakers won't work on HP T5570e Thin Client

Try to use earphones, plug them in to phone audio connector....
try if it works..... if so, disconnect them and plug speakers.... and try again.... if doesn't work, go to audio advanced setup and check if speakers are not muted, or set up voicevolume level is too low. Play with that setup....

Also some computers can turn on or off speakers in Bios.

If problem will not be solved, try to use USB speakers

Installed lynex on my compaq presario sr2010nx and i cant get the sound to work

Make sure the audio drivers are in the device manager. Make sure the volume is turned up and not muted. Look at the Audio/Sound properties in the Control Panel and make sure they are not muted and the volume is up. Make sure you have the speakers plugged into the light green port on the computer and that the speakers are on and the volume is turned up.

Assuming something in the computer didn't mysteriously go bad during the move, there are two possibilities. First, make sure the signal cable from the speakers is plugged in to the right place. You may have plugged it into the microphone input or line input jack by mistake. Second, be sure the speakers have power. Most speaker systems require AC power, either from a plug-in adapter or a built-in supply that needs an AC connection. (Some newer systems come with USB-powered speakers that don't need an external adapter.)

A remote possibility is that in the move, the speakers got bumped enough to disturb connections on the circuit board inside. The amplifier chip in the speaker case gets hot (especially if the volume is turned way up), and the heat can degrade solder connections, and sometimes cracks form. The move may have caused connections that were iffy to go bad. But this isn't very likely.

You'll probably find it to be a very simple missed connection. Good luck, and thanks for using Fixya!

No sound even though the computer says everything is working fine, it's not muted, under device manager everything shows to be working. Help Thanks czanfardino@aol.com

Are the speakers plugged into the correct jack (audio out, not line in)? Check if the speaker cable is damaged and try replacing it if the wire is not fixed. If the speakers are self-powered, check if the transformer is warm (using power). If it is cold, look to see if the specs are given - you may be able to find a universal power supply with the right voltage and amperage at a shop like Radio Shack.

If the speaker wire is fixed, you may be able to open up the speakers and desolder the wire and solder in a new one. However, on low-end speakers, the fix is takes more time than the speakers are worth.

I hope this helps.

Dimension 4700 my headphones work fine but i cant

Are you have the headphones and speakers both pluged in? When you plug in headphones the speakers get muted. You need to change your sound settings back to your sound card if you use usb headphones. The plug on the front of the 4700 also automatically mutes the speakers.

HP speakers not working with Dell computer

Your speakers are plugged into the wrong port? Most computers have at least a mic port and a speaker port, many also have front, rear, center, and subwoofer. Try playing a sound, then moving the connector to another port and trying again.

Are your new speakers plugged in? Is the volume on them turned up?

I cant hear no sound from my pc when i play music or any other sound ive tried everything but still no joy

You needed to see speaker icon on the bottom right, if it is working, if not you need to install the sound driver in order to work. Give me more details about your computer, the model or motherboard installed, so we could get the appropriate driver... C ya later.
