Question about Insignia 37" LCD Flat-Panel HDTV

1 Answer

Image freezing When a sporting event is on (eg basketball game) it periodically freezes and then unfreezes 10 seconds later. So l lose 10 seconds of the game. This is happening more frequently and happens on multiple sports channels. I've had this TV for a little less than 3 weeks and it the TV has not endured any trauma.

Since it seems the original board did not have this problem why not put it back to confirm if new board is the problem or some event occurred when you replaced it.

1 Answer

TV freezes for a short period of time.

First a couple of questions:

1) What is the make and model please?

2) When the picture freezes, is it like a snapshot photo? or does the screen blank?

This sounds like an interruption in the digital data stream. If the picture remains on the screen, the "new" frame information is not being received nor processed. This can be as simple as a bad cable connection or noise on the digital information data lines.

Check to see if there is any pattern to when this occurs. For example, does it happen more frequently after the set has been on for a while? Try cooling down the set to see if temp effects the behavior.

Please update this and we'll work to resolve it.

Thanks,
Dan

Picture is frozen

There is a button on the lower part of the remote that is a "freeze" button, it will freeze the picture, or capture a still shot. Try pressing this button to "unfreeze" your picture.

THE VIDEO IMAGE ''FREEZES'' ON THE SCREEN AND SOUND STOPS

2 things the easy one is check for signal strenght (is this happening on over the air stations? or also on Video inputs) if it OTA only a signal amp will clear this issue not if you are still getting this on both OTA and Video inputs looks to be a main Board replacement?
