The Chrysler voyager van you have has manual mirrors. If it would have power mirrors the controls would be mounted on the drivers side door or the dash panel beside the headlight switch.

Wing mirrors will not adjust

Hi Michelle , what make model an year vehicle ? On some vehicles this is function is controlled by a door module .

In order to control outside rearview mirror operations, as well as other door functions, the front door modules must be powered up. For this purpose, battery voltage is supplied from the rear fuse block, through separate circuits, to each front door module. Each front door module is separately grounded through a ground stake. The front door modules also use these power and ground supplies to drive the mirror motors, and to provide power and ground to window and lock switches and door lock actuators. In addition, the driver door module (DDM) uses these power and ground supplies to power the driver door switch assembly (DDSA) and integral mirror control switches.

Rear view mirror

Has the mirror previously been capable of providing a view of the left lane?
If it did not, the "clicking" sound is simply an indicator informing the user that the angle limit has been reached, the mirror will not travel any further.
Simply purchase a pair of stick on Convex mirrors, they are about 1.5" in diameter, they do the job perfectly. I know this because I've got them on my Protege5 mirrors.

Replacement of rear view mirror S60

We own a 2004 XC 70 Volvo AWD. The interior rear view mirror decided to die. There is a discolored patch (bubble type) in the middle section of the mirror. A new one will set us back a cool grand! Does anyone out there know how to fix it?
Volvo dealer says:
  • It cannot be replaced with a used one.
  • It's software operated.
  • A similar one from a similar car will not work, It will play havoc with other components, ie: sun roof, electric windows, etc.
All I needed was a new battery. They installed a new one, and I think that's waht caused the rear view mirror to go bad. They probably shorted the system as they were installing the battery.
Thanks

Side View Electric mirror can't adjust up enough for my height

You can manually push the mirror left or righ or up and down. It just ratchets on the plastic screw adjusters. It won't do any damage.
If you have floding mirros, make sure they are locked into position.

here's what inside looks like of 2002 mirror. I don't have 2005

I have allot of experience with these mirrors, if your just stopped working it lasted longer than most, many never even made it out of factory warranty, the problem is the mirror not any fuse, the cost of the new unit is around $200.

Side Mirrors will adjust side to side but not up and down.

There are two tiny motors in each mirror. one for up/down. One for side to side. They have jack screws (plastic) that fit into the motors.

You can manually put your hands on either side of the mirror and force adjust it. If you hear a ratcheting sound, the jack screws are OK. Then repeat with hands on top and bottom.

If you hear ratcheting and mirror stays where you stop it, that means one of the motors is bad. The motor assembly is available as a separate part.

Rear view mirrors

It's usually a mechanical problem and they really aren't repairable.

I replaced the ones on my 83 Celica GT with replacement units that I bought on-line from Redneck Auto Parts for about $60 each.
