Question about APC (BE500U-WEB) (BE500UWEB) UPS System
Going down the line. Does it have power? Do you use the powershoot program? Plug in the cable to the unit and what does current status say? if it says nothing, you probably dont have power or the unit is toast. If it says the line voltage is low or high, check it and if its really ok, there a number of parts that check the line and using another unit will probably tell which one. APC wont sell you parts or a schematic. So if you are not a excellant tech, send it in for about 40 bucks to get it refurbed or by a new one.

You can also adjust the sensitivity of your UPS so that it will accept the Generator's supply. I had to set ours to low sensitivity to get them to work. Depending on your UPS model, you can either connect to it with the supplied USB cable and run powerchute software to set the sensitivity to low, or some models allow you to adjust sensitivity on the front panel. Good Luck!

is that 165 Volts AC or DC? Try to reset the logic. Unplug the UPS from the wall and disconnect the batteries. Push the "On Button" The LED's may flash. This is resetting the logic. This migh help. This should be 120VAC in and 120VAC out. Please give me an update.
