Nashville tele that has the g string sounds off when playing

if you have the adjustable bridge try moving it back a little bit. the g string is a heavy string and will tend to go sharp when you have the string height up a little. make small adjustments usually only one turn or half a turn at a time. take care to note your adjustments so you can always go back to where you started. turners are nice but the ear doesn't lie. if it sounds right it's right

Just bought a Harbinger HX121M 2" Monitor, from Musicians Friend it did not come with a booklet on how to wire into my sound system it has two 1/4" jacks and a strange round plug about the size...

If you don't know how to connect this... well we don't either because you did not tell us what your sound system is. The larger plug is what is known as a "Speakon" connector and is a fairly reliable speaker connection that is used now. For your use you will PROBABLY use either of the 1/4 inch jacks with a cable from the amp that will drive the monitor(s). If you have multiple monitors you will daisy chain them using the 1/4 inch jacks and SPEAKER rated cables creating a string of speakers with input going into one and an output from the same one to the next speaker and so on...USUALLY you will be limited to two speakers per amp output...

I don't have a problem. Just a question. I have a behringer pmp3000. Where is the best place to connect two mackie active speakers for maximum results.

There is no such thing as "MAXIMUM" results... Connect the speakers to the MAIN L and R jacks on the face using 1/4 inch TRS (balanced) interconnect cables. DO NOT USE TS unbalanced cables!!! Also an absolute requirement is that the connected active speakers are powered from the SAME receptacle as this mixer. Yes, this means running extension cords, but unless you can tolerate noise due to ground bounce and damage to your equipment respect this requirement... it isn't in the manuals but is well known among professional sound people. Also please read my tip in regard to a hazard for PMP mixers on Fixya tips regarding Channel A when using 1/4 inch adapters from the Speakon outputs.

Hello, i really don't have a problem i just want to learn how to setup my system the good way. i have a mackie cfx 12 mk ll mixer, a dbx 233 xl crossover, 2 mackie fr 2500 power amps, 2 harbinger HX...

I can't give you much information other than to tell you the idea of adjustable crossovers is to allow adjustments to suit the acoustics of the room or space where they are sited, a function that used to be common but has largely been replaced by the graphic equaliser, popularly used to adjust the sound to suit personal preference but originally was intended to be used with a white or pink noise generator and adjusted to compensate for mechanical and electronic "inefficiencies" of hi-fi systems to produce a pure sound.

The best advice I can offer you is to start hanging with a few hi-fi nuts to learn what you need to know and lots more. Positioning the speakers is very important for a good sound and popular and inexpensive mod is to fit spiked feet to them or lift them clear of the ground on purpose built stands...

My husband purchased one of your xr8600 peavey mixer the problem hes having is he cant get the echo settings right.please can you help.

View videos on YouTube regarding "mixer setup". Find the parts of setting up of "effects". Don't worry that you have a different mixer, the principles are all the same for analog mixers. Steps are this: Set the EFX send level for EACH of the input channels (knob above each channel gain) for the proportion you want for each channel. Check that the level you are sending does NOT cause the effect clip light to light very much. Set the effect you want, delay, echo, etc. with the selector knob. Advance the output sent to the power amp with the two knobs in the upper right of the panel. Adjust the "time" knob for the delay or effect depth you want. Then go over the same settings in the same order until you get the sound you want.

Well the Roland td-4s is a superb kit. I've only had it for a few weeks now and the only issue im having is with the ride cymbal. It is a CY-8 cymbal that came with the set and it is dual triggered, but...

It sounds like the sensor is bad in the unit... If you have only had it a few weeks, exercise your warraaanty for replacement. Repairing the piezo sensor is NOT really a DIY project.

HI THERE. I VE BEEN CHANGE MY SHECTER'S STRINGS, BUT I DONT KNOW WHY THEY´RE TOUCHING THE HUMBUKERS AND SOUND BADLY. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?

Try adjusting the pickup height lower and playing your guitar. If your action is set right and it plays fine then adjust the pickups for the sound you want. You may have inadvertently changed string guages. Here is a link that will help you:http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/aph.htm Also:http://www.igdb.co.uk/pages/guitar_setup/pickup_height_adjustment.htm

When I lower the bridge of my ibanez grg170dxbkn to the required action of the strings(2mm bass)(1.5mm treble) my strings on the treble side produce a buzzing sound mostly on the 12 fret...do i need to...

I can understand it a bit of a daunting task setting up these guitars (I have bought at least 5 like this) But yes it might be the truss rod ... Without looking at the guitar myself its hard to say ... If you tighten the truss rod remember how much you turned the allen wrench because if it doesnt work your going to need to reset it and start again ... Remember to turn it the right way! and if all else fails ... If your near me (Bournemouth, South of the UK) then you can always pop on over to mine and I can take a look at it.

Failing that just take it to your nearest guitar repair shop and a setup should cost you about £30 if your in the UK.

Volume does not work Korg Microkorg Synthesizer with vocoder

You might try to clean it. You can buy some tv tuner cleaner at radio shack. If that fails, then the pot. will have to be replaced. If you can solder and de-solder components its not hard to change out. When you open the unit up, the volume control or POT has a ohm value. Like 200, 250 ect…. It may have a K after it, that’s x 1000. Get the right size ohm value and replace it. Hope this is helpful.

How do i recod on the ctk-900 casio?

Try running a line out from your keyboard to the line input on your mac. Go into system preferences, select sound, click the input bar in the upper right corner, select line in/Audio line-in port, then adjust your input volume. You should then be able to record from your keyboard. If this doesn't help you, please let me know. I'm a recording engineer that uses a MacBook for all my multi-track recording projects. Thanks & good luck. Mark
