DEAR SIR,

Turn the bottom buttom (the A-Z one) to where the lines line up and push the button to the side a bit. Then slide the whole back downward,NOW YOU CAN TAKE THE OLD FILM OUT AND LOAD THE NEW ONE....

THANK YOU...

For a vintage camera such as this, I would suggest a specialist repair facility, not a DIY repair.

How to load Nikon F50 camera

The F50 is called the N50 in some parts of the world.
The film loading instructions are on pages 10-11 of the N50 manual available from http://butkus.org/chinon/nikon/nikon_n50/nikon_n50.htm

Lost the battery plug for a mamiya 1000s camera. It is a threaded plug.

Nice camera! Do you mean the battery housing cover plate? It should swing open like a small door when you press the cover latch.

If you are referring to the circular threaded hole on the bottom of the camera body, it is actually the attachment point for a tripod mounting plate. Mounting the camera is optional- no need to have anything screwed in here. Load film, load battery, advance film with the crank arm, and shoot away! Have fun.

Here's a link to the user manual with illustrations:

Well, on my Contaflex, the two tabs on the bottom must be rotated 180 degrees so you can slide the back off

Film loading problem Minolta Maxxum 430SI RZ

not solution, but a suggestion, something to look for/try.
i think it is trying to tighten it and take up the slack in the spool. there might be little red dots or something like that on the inside when you open it up. you are supposed to have the film go to a certain spot before you close it. normally, the film is sticking out the right length, but you might have to pull it out extra first. you might also have to tuck the end of the film behind a roller or in front of a roller before you close it. look for really tiny diagrams inside the camera, or maybe just tiny arrows indicating which way the film is supposed to wind. good luck with your class!

Cannot open Zeiss Icon Tenax camera. Please tell me how to do this.

I think this camera actually has a back that is a separate piece. It is removed by turning 2 "keys" on the bottom of the camera itself, then it will slide off. The operative word here is "think". It is an educated guess based on working in a camera store many, many years ago. good luck

You may have to manually rewind the film that you just loaded and try again. The is a manual rewind button on this camera. Before you load the new roll, check the condition of the shutter curtains/blades. Do they look out of place or pushed in?
