Screen flips Every once in a while the screen starts flipping when you open it then freezes

copy the file to the computer , dont run it from that location i assume u are.

If the camerafreezes, and if it freezes more frequently and you experience decreasingbattery runtime, you may need a battery replacement. At least the following works on my first generation Flip Ultra camcorder (not Mino). Remove battery, put it back next morning. After that be careful not to touch "on" slider switch on the side of the camcorder while Flip logo is still on the screen. I mean turn the device on by using the slider switch and do not touch that switch again until Flip logo on the screen is gone. Doing the opposite (trying to use the "on" switch again while device is still "booting" and Flip logo is on the screen) will lead to the Flip Ultra freeze.

I found a fix that worked for mine.
It was doing the same thing, freezing at the "Flip" screen and would not turn off. I did the remove the batteries deal. It worked once but issue reoccured 2 months later and the battery fix didn't fix it.
What did fix it was...
With the camera off, hold down the Right Arrow button and the trash can button at the same time and turn the camera on.
A few seconds later, I was at the start recording screen!!

Re-install the software used to flip screen...

replace the flip part it is fairly easy ..
you can locate a new flip on ebay or do a google search..

once you locate a repalcement...you can disassemble it with a t6 screwdriver.

Once open remove the ribbon that attaches the flip to the main board

attach the new flip reseat the housing and replace screws

It is possible but can be difficult. there are seven T6 screws two of the are hidden under cover plugsa the bottom right and left corners of the phone on the rear. there is also one near the top left hand corner near the antenna.Once open you will see that the phone has a ribbbon cable that connects the flip to the main board. Carefuly remove the cable and replace the flip..then make sure to seat the new flip correctly and replace the backhousing and screws..good luck
