Change your flex. flex is the interface between the board and the Lcd (screen). You can still change the module, also processor. This are the things that causes this type of probems.

My screen does not flip 180 degrees when i turn the screen around

Computer users occasionally have a need to rotate, or "flip," a monitor display to be better able to read long documents or to view pictures. Because rotating a computer screen is such a basic function, modern operating systems (Windows XP and up) include hot keys and display options that enable the user to rotate the computer screen by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Rotating the computer screen allows for more display options. For instance, when rotated 90 degrees, a 1680x1050 monitor becomes a 1050x1680 monitor, which provides more vertical pixels than a standard display.

Windows XP/Vista Monitor Orientation
Minimize any windows or programs to the taskbar. Click the desktop. Press "CTRL" + "ALT" at the same time. Press one of the arrow keys to flip the monitor orientation by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The left arrow rotates the computer screen 90 degrees; the down arrow rotates the computer screen 180 degrees; the right arrow rotates the computer screen 270 degrees; the up arrow resets the monitor orientation. Rotate the computer screen in Windows Vista by opening the Control Panel, searching for "Tablet PC" and changing the "Orientation" drop box to the desired rotation. b> Windows 7 Monitor Orientation b> Click the Start menu at the lower-left hand part of the screen, and open the Control Panel. Select "Display," then click "Change display settings" from the left column. When using multiple monitors, select the monitor that you would like to rotate. Click the drop box next to the "Orientation:" option. Select the desired rotation and click "Apply." Click "Keep Changes" or "Revert," depending on preference. Click "Apply" in the Display Settings window. Click "OK" to finish.

Flip the screen

Flipping the screen is part of the Display in the Control Panel. You have to go to the Settings tab then click Advanced and look for Rotation.

Click Start/Control Panel or Start/Settings/Control Panel then look for Display or Appearance and Personalization. Open the Display then click Settings/Advanced/Rotation.

When i move my Gateway W323-UI1 it freezes

that's BAD! it sounds like there's something loose inside your laptop. the only thing i can suggest is flip it over, unplug the power cord, remove all the panels from the back and the battery and shake it and see if anything falls out. while you're in there make sure that you ram chips are securely installed.

My son's dell Inspiron mini is having problems after sign on. The Desktop and windows that appear after that are reading upside-down and we cannot figure out why it happened. Any advise to get it...

I think that Ctrl+(Alt and/or Shift)+(Up or Down) should fix it. There are a couple of key combos to check, but I'm sure that one of the above will fix it for you.
If the key replys dont work you can go into the advanced settings of your video card and set it there. On my x1400 I can do the same thing in the ATI Catalyst Control Center. Once your in there you can turn the Hot Keys off that will flip your screen like that and you can also flip your screen the right way round.

Steps to get there if you have an ATI video card and ATI Catalyst Control Center installed.

1 - Right click on your desktop.
2 - Select "properties".
3 - Select "settings".
4 - Select "advanced".
5 - Select "ATI Catalyst Control Center".
6 - Select "Displays Manager"
7 - Once the "Displays Manager" tab opens you should see at the bottom tab you should see a box marked "rotation". Set your rotation to 0 degrees landscape.

While you are also in the ATI Catalyst Control Center you can also click on the "Hot Keys" tab and turn the ATI hot keys off that flipped your screen in the first place. John

My acer aspire5100-5022 blank screen.hooked up to a external monitor no problem. Is there a fix?

Hello,

The reason the screen of your laptop is not functioning fine could most likely be of two sources.
1. The screen might be faulty,
2. The flip might be faulty.

To fix the problem if the screen is faulty, all you have to do is to replace the screen.

How to fix the screen?
  1. get the appropriate screwdriver,
  2. get an alternative screen or a new screen,
  3. open the laptop from the bottom,
  4. carefully force it open from the sidelines,
  5. try to disconnect the screen from the board,
  6. then you can REPLACE it with the new screen,
  7. couple it back together and it will start working fine.
fixing the flip?
  1. get the appropriate screwdriver,
  2. Open the laptop,
  3. check the connection from the link that assists in flipping the laptop,
  4. Check the cables link on the board,
  5. check for any faults and correct it,
  6. couple it back together,
  7. charge it for a while turn it on.
take care

Screen upside down

Holding down CTRL and ALT while pressing the DOWN ARROW flips the screen upside down.
To undo it, and flip it back to normal, hold down CTRL and ALT and press the UP ARROW.

You can also try CTRL-SHIFT and then “r” … this works for some Dell configurations

This problem can also be solve in some PC using the below technique.
In Control Panel>Display>Settings tab>Advanced button, look for settings relating to display or screen position.

Newer video cards have the capability to flip the display 90 and 180 degrees for use with LCD screens that can be rotated.

If the problem still persist, Start you PC with F8 key press, select "Last known good configuration that works"

it will most probably solve the problem.

Note ...
8. Reconnect the unit to the A/C input supply voltage.
Leave the battery out for NOW !.
Flip unit and try to start with the Touch Pad Led's. This should bring up Quick Play.
If your unit starts and you here several beeps,
Don’t worry, !! You should be able to access the BIOS screen. You can reset your date and time.
If you are still not able to start unit, drop me a email and I will try some other ideas.

Screen has flipped 90 degrees

Don't worry about that. I guess you were playing a full screen game, or a full screen program :) Try the following steps:
1-Open "Control Panel"
2-Open "Apperance and themes"
3-Open "Display"
4-Get to the tab "Settings", and click "Advanced".

Now I don't know the following steps, because of your graphic card, but look everywhere for a phrase: "Rotation" or "Flip". As you find it, look for the option to reset to the normal position (0*)

Hope this solved your problem!!
Good Luck :)
