I have a technics hifi su-ch900 everytime I play a cd or cassette or have the tuner the sound cuts out when its slightly loud, on low volume its fine. I have checked the cables and they are correctly...

I found a link to a CH900 that switched off completely.
If you are not a technician, please don't open the amplifier.
But I think it will be a simple repair. It is not the same problem, but it looks a little simelar.

Also found a service manual, but not complete. Still here is the link

Technics Amplifier SU-V4

The clicking sound will be a relay for the protection circuit. That could be faulty, but first check out the main devices on the main amp section. Those attached to the big heat sink. If you see a single IC amp that could well be faulty.

I have a technics SU-V98-KM8 Amplifier that turns on and lights up but does not have any soundd coming out of it. I have checked alll the cables and cords and everything is hooked up the way its supposed...

Your amplifier is turned on and all the indicator lights work and you made it sure that all the cables, and cords are attached to where they are supposed to be connected and yet you don't get any sound coming out when you play a music. Amplifiers have selector knobs for you to set where your source is coming from. Selector knobs can be set to TUNER, DVD, CD, and AUX. The scenario might be like this: your source is coming from a movie being played on your DVD player connected to your amplifier but your knob selector is set to AUX. Try playing a music selection from your CD player attached to your amplifier and set the selector knob to CD. If still there is no sound coming out you need to have it checked by a qualified technician.

Technics amplifier su-v98, cuts off at 22-24 desibls

The most common cause of this is defective coupling caps inside. These allow some DC voltage to pass through to the final amp stage. This DDC voltage is detected by the protection circuit and the unit shuts down. This unit will require service. Please note that this should be a simple and inexpensive repair. The cost should be less than $10 for parts.

Sound cuts when volume is turned up

check that power amplifier rating(how many watt)must be more than total speaker rating by 20% at least..
exampel:if speakers watts are 100 watt-amplifier watt must be 120 watt.
