Question about NetGear WNR2000 Wireless Router

1 Answer

I unplugged my Netgear wnr2000 one night, when I woke up in the morning and plugged it back in the on light went to the orange colour which kept flashing on and off and doesn't do anything else, normally it stats on orange for a few seconds then turns to a green colour. But this is not happening and it simply just stays on the orange light.

You have lost your connectivity between modem and router.

Be sure you always start your network in this sequence:

1. Turn off and unplug the modem from the power outlet. Next, turn off the wireless router
and computer.

2. Turn on the modem and wait 2 minutes.

3. Turn on the wireless router and wait 1 minute.

4. Turn on the computer.

If this does not work, come back to your post let me know and we will try a full reset.

Hi, I am using the the netgear n300 wnr2000 wireless router. I've had it for a few months and up until yesterday, worked fine. I woke up and the power light is flashing green and the "i" light is...

Well the symptoms indicates that the router is now just a brick. Still I would suggest you to reset the router to default settings using the below steps:

router for 20 seconds (please refer to the label on the bottom of the router for reset button location). Release the reset button after 20 seconds and turn off the router. Turn the router on after few seconds.

If the issue persists then it is time for you to change the router. If the router is still under warranty, then get it replaced through NETGEAR. Contact them at http://my.netgear.com

Monitor dead

Check your power cables properly and make sure it is attached. Check your power button, maybe you have pressed the wrong one.

My monitor doesn't display anything, though it's receiving input from the CPU. I know that input is being received because the monitor status light is green, and times out (turns orange).

Same thing happened to me! Went to bed last night, everything was fine. Woke up today, orange light came on, no display, slight flickering seen, but that's it. Cables and cords are fine, tried unplugging and plugging it back in, NOTHING. Totally dead. I'm guess off to buy a new one today. Typical made-in-China JUNK.

Screen went blank and orange light is on

fiona_sheeha, If ACER warranty service not an option, then unit will need local tech to troubleshoot unit's power supply/inverter circuit for possible COMMON and repairable printed circuit board fix. You must read more of my fixya profile and visit the web links you find there so you will know and understand what ALL your options are!!! Some units require less than $5 in parts to refurbish them to working status. Your "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamp" backlit LCD monitor isn't any different than any other brand of monitor in it's basic operating principles!! I hope this helps. 12fixlouie
