Question about Brother MFC-8440 All-In-One Laser Printer
I have the MFC set up to listen for calls then pass the distinctive fax ring to the computer to recieve the fax, which was working fine for weeks. Suddenly all calls started getting passed to the computer. If I unplug the computer the fax machine functions properly recognizing which calls to answer and ignores regular calls so I suspect it is a software issue, but I have gone through all the settings and through the setup again with no joy. I am running XP with the drivers and software installed that I downloaded from the Brother site. Thanks for any suggestions.
Uninstall all the software reset the printer to default settings and start over... kids were prbly messing around with the buttons and something got lost in translation
