Unwanted emails I am currently receiving unwanted emails offering me to enlarge my member with a simple blue pill by clicking on a web site address. I have also been receiving emails that look like they are coded as they are just full of symbols ?*&%*$@ and the sender details sound Chinese. How can I stop these from coming through?

Hi rach;
what email provider are you using? yahoomail? gmail? hotmail? most likely they got the filter email function. You may add familiar words into the filter.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

In my aol, when I try to open emails, a message says to go above the list and click on " your links are disabled for your safty. To activate click on "show images and enable links"help

This feature protects you from unwanted links to your mail. E-mail from strangers can contain unwanted connections to other web sites.

I usually keep this save guard where the links are disabled and enable for friends and official known to be save websites. You can enable for each specific e-mail as it is requested. The email will still open with links disabled and the link will be visible.

The following is from the AOL home page "options" that allows you to set the reading features. Reading
Tip: Click the new window icon to open messages in a new window. Enable reading pane to preview mail In full reading view, display the next message after moving or deleting the current one Hide images in mail from unknown senders Disable links in mail from unknown senders Always show full headers

Hotmail I am receiving unwanted email from a hotmail address which is very personal and unwanted. How do I trace the owner of this account to inform the police?

Hi Catherine.

Get in touch with Windows Live and tell them your situation. If the emails that you are receiving are threatening or abusive then they will track the I.P. address of the computer that the mail is being sent from and they will inform the police at your request. You should also have an email address from the sender also so provide Microsoft with that too.

If there is anything else I can help you with please post back.

Regards.

I am not on facebook and hate getting email from facebook about weird people in the area who want to date me. I find these emails an invasion of my privacy and these strangers are scary. I have no need of...

If you have a fairly simple address, they don't 'get' your address, they guess it.

They have software that randomly selects different formatted addresses and send out the spam messages (unwanted emails).

Sometimes, if you leave your email address on your website, that can also be 'picked up' by spammers.

The only way to completely stop it is to change your email address to something more unlikely to be guessed or use an online checking system where your emails go through a filter which needs to be confirmed before the email is sent right on to you. There is normally a charge for this service, though.

Delete unwanted items

if the unwanted addresses are in the <to:,cc:,bc:> lines of the email you want to forward, hi-lite the address and hit delete. If you want to add addresses, just type them in and type a comma between each one. Once you have the email the way you want it hit forward (not send).

Open control panel, open mouse. Make changes there. In reference to the email. There are laws in place in the US. When you receive an unwanted email scroll to the bottom of it. There should be a section stating something like to un-subscribe click here or instructions on how to un-subscribe. Most of us continue to just block, sooner or later they run out of email address. You can also report unwanted email. Click this link:
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/online/inbox.shtm
Report it to the Federal Trade Commission. Send a copy of unwanted or deceptive messages to spam@uce.gov.
Have a nice day!
