No usually the power board and the inverter board are different boards. there are cheap brands that are all in one. so if you only have one board inside the back cover then the answer may be yes, however the power board (section of the main pcb board that supplies power ) is distinctly separated due to heat and has several large capacitors in its section.

any cap domed or with leakage (color) from the creases indicates bad cap. you cab Google the "capacitor blown image" and that should help you. be very careful and unplug the unit before investigating internal issues.

My lcd tv i purchased 4 years ago is in pure black light, i cant see the picture anymore but i can only hear the audio. what seems to be the problem? thanks

Sir this problem has two possibilities the CCFL or cold cathode fluorescent lamp is already damage or the inverter board is not getting 24 volts supply. Try to check the power supply or use a digital tester to test if there is 24 volts supply to the inverter board if there is a a 24 volts then the CCFL is already faulty or your inverter board is faulty. To be sure try to check also the CCFL if both ends have a burn marks replace it but if no burns, the inverter board is the problem, but be careful when checking this inverter board because it is producing a high voltage and can cause serius injury. If you are not handy in electronic trouble shooting I suggest that you should contact a service technician to do it for you and save you from stress good day and best regards.

VIZIOP42HDTV10A . It hadn't picture mean black screen , but hear sound from every channel and all another devices input

hi, Your tv has problem with its back light inverter stage. All LCD TV have back light to illuminate the pixels. There are two types of back lighting CCFL(Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) and LED. In your tv its ccfl. As it is ccfl it need a high voltage above 1000v. To provide such a high voltage there will be an inverter stage in all lcd tv with ccfl back lighting. Normally in LCD tvs there will be three boards such as Mother board , Back light inverter board, and power supply. In your tv the ccfl back light inverter stage is faulty. There will in inverter transformers in the inverter board. As it is high voltage transformer there is possibility of its winding get shorted. If so it will drain a high current from the power supply and the protection circuit will shut down the voltage to the inverter board. check the inverter board first. Also there is possibility of bad electrolytic capacitors in the inverter board will lead to this type of problem. First of all check the supply voltage from the power supply to the inverter board. Change the electrolytic capacitors in the inverter board and in the power supply stage. If the problem is not rectified then you have to replace the inverter board. ok

The monitor is going down. If I take out the current and put it back then it works but only for a limited (irregular) time then shutting down again

You may have a faulty inverter board or defective CCFL lamp. A faulty CCFL lamp may have the following symptom: Screen flashes on and off or displays reddish pink hue. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering and/or with dim display or appear black. Picture flickers on and off. Usually the CCFL lamp fails before the inverter.
The inverter board can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

My monitor keeps going on and off. It will be off

You could have a faulty inverter board. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp/s, these lamps are mini fluro tubes approx 1,5mm dia. and the length of the screen.
Check the inverter output/inverter board and you maybe able to get service, parts and DIY info from

Acer al1716 dont work

When the LCD monitor display flickers and or has a black screen then the fault is usually a faulty inverter or the CCFL lamp. When you look at the screen at a sharp angle and you see a dim image then it is a backlight problem and it is caused by a faulty inverter or a CCFL lamp.

Sceptre X9G-Komodo IV

I recently came accross one of these monitors (Planar PE191M) with the identical issue. The resolution was to replace the two 470ufd 25V capacitors that are located on the main power board. The main power board also contains the audio circuit and more importantly the inverter circuit that drives the CCFL backlighting. The suspect caps were identified using an ESR meter; if you happen to have one of these meters you can confirm this is the issue with your unit(s), alternatively you can just replace the two capacitors and see if it resolves your issue. Hope this info helps someone out there.
