Question about HP Computers & Internet

1. Today I called HP for assistance in regards to a virus I have encountered. I paid $99 for nothing I suppose since I was transferred 3-4 times and still did not receive any satisfaction I would like to know what is going on?? Or should I ask for A refund of $99 since I am not receiving any assistance?

First of all Tell them you paid and you never got assistance and if they refuse tell them that you will get a lawyer (I wouldn't actually get a lawyer) that will most likely get them to refund you. Now You can e-mail me at and if you want I can solve your problem from my computer from a screen sharing software I have and you will get the virus removed without paying $99.

First of all download the link below:

then run it and uninstall the trend micro installation and any other programs like old expired anti-virus, that you don't want.

afterwards if you want an Anti-Virus on your machine you might try Avast. You can get it at the link below INSTALLED for you for free. The Avast has two versions Free and Paid. when it is installed it is free. If you want to upgrade then purchase the paid one. But I will tell you right now I cannot remember the last time that I had paid for a Anti-Virus.

Once you have Avast installed make sure you run a FULL SCAN of the HARD DRIVE. Good Luck.

To Whom it May Concern,
I had a phone call from the Do not Call Registry but was advised that to get registered I was to forward $69.00 to an address that I haven't received as yet, I was supposed to receive a Tax Invoice in regard to where I was to send the money, please advise me on what to do as I thought that this service was free, as I have been getting calls from supposed Windows and Telstra in regard to viruses placed on my computer, and they were going to show me how and where these supposed Viruses are, so please let me know where I stand with this.

I have been reading where XP is susceptible to malware and virus because it is not as safe as vista or windows 7. My question is: Dis this computer come with a free upgrade from XP to the nexr os?

I'm sorry but Microsoft does not provide free upgrades for your computer.
However, the security difference between XP and Vista is not far apart. As long as you have a good anti-virus program, you will be all set.
My recommendations, purchase a paid version of anti-virus for stronger protection such as : Prevx 3.0 antivirus
If you prefer a good free anti-virus (not as good as paid versions), use Microsoft Security Essentials.

This changes the time, but you may have CID changing it back. That event usually takes place about the first call after 2 or 3 AM daily.

That's like asking which car company is best or which cell phone company. Ten people would give you ten different answers.

There's a couple free ones that are some what highly regarded: AVG Free is beloved many people as is MS Security Essentials.

I couldn't speak to the quality of paid solutions like McAfee or Norton as I haven't used them in many years. As long as you have something it should be better than nothing at all!

Each antivirus has some limitations regarding the OS you are using. The Kasperkey Antivirus version you are using may not be able to run on Windows Vista.

  • You can use any free anti virus available for your system (as AVG Free).
  • There are other paid version of anti virus softwares specifically for your OS Windows Vista.
  • Almost all antivirus have their Vista Version. Check their websites for details.

Why does my hp dv6815nr shutdown unexpectedly? How can I fix this?

The HP DV6815nr has a High end processor I think it sould be around 2.0 ghz.
I run a TL-64 and it is a 2.2 ghz.
The problem is the heat transfer and the best thing you can do is, keep the unit well ventelated.
The 6815 is not very old and should still be within warranty.
HP has had alot of problems with the 6000 and 9000 units, related to heat.
HP has offered a extened 1 year on top of the 1 year warranty. This means, if you purchased this unit 1 1/2 years ago, it still has 6 months of warranty ava.
Do yourself a favor and contact HP customer care and they will send you a Pre-Paid box for shipping back to the factory of repairs, at no cost to you.
The turn around time is 7 working days.
Don't waist time.. !!

Your phone is affected by virus... You need to format your mobile....Steps will be.
STEP: 1. Switch off your Nokia Mobile,
STEP: 2. Press-> Call button, press-> 3, press-> *,
STEP: 3. Now Switch on your Mobile.
