I've done that job many times, but I remember how stressfull it was the first few times, so my advice to you is to get it done by an experienced tech.
Not only will you be guaranteed to get the right part, but the job and the part will be guaranteed. Unlike doing it yourself..
I usually take the front of the machine off, and LG have a special tool to replace the clamps.. (Although experienced techs can get around that..)
I get a lot of calls from people who have bought the part and find out there's more to it than they thought.
Not a long job.
Get quotes
Probably not what you wanted to hear, but a lot easier on your nerves than seeing water run out of your machine!!
Good luck.....Nomess

Remove and replace front door seal on LG wm2277HS front loader wa

Follow these steps to replace your door seal:
Disconnect all power to the machine first!!
1 Locate the outer clamp band securing the seal to the door rim on the washing machine and examine it carefully for holes or tears. Many can be prised off with a flat-bladed screwdriver they have a spring system holding them, but some have a tensioning arrangement that has to be loosened.
2 After removing the outer clamp band, locate the inner one securing the seal to the drum and establish how this is secured. It may be necessary to loosen a clip, or you may be able to prise the band off with a flat-bladed screwdriver. Some are like very large Jubilee clips that you have to undo usually from the top.
3 Once the clamp bands have been removed, use both hands to pull the seal away from the inner drum rim. Some machines have a water spout holes that will have to be lined up. Others have a drain holes.
4 Rubbing a drop of washing up liquid into the groove on the door seal/gasket that locates on the drum makes fitting the new seal easier.
5 the new washing machine door seal should be fitted by locating the drain holes at the bottom of the seal first then push it on with both hands working opposite directions towards the top. This is quite hard if you have never done it before.
6 refit the inner band remembering this must be tensioned correctly for it to be water tight.
7 now fit the outer band and the test the machine for any leaks,

Why is my washer leaking water

try opening the washer door and feel all the way around the inside of the door seal for any rips or perished areas , if this is the cause the water will leak out from the front behind the panel .
if you think it is leaking from the back it could be several things such as the pump ,the pump hose , the outer drum , or even the bearing housing if it is whining when spinning fast .
if it is new check the guarantee , if it is old think about a new one or even a good secondhand one from a private sale there are some good bargains to be had .
good luck .

How to replace bearings on LG WD-1019BD washer?

To get to the bearings you need to remove the rotor as you have done, remove the front, you need to push a card under the lip of the top at the front to open the top to get out the front. Then then you need to undo all the bolts in the middle of the tub, then take out the inner drum and then you can hit the bearings out with a drift, Don't just replace the bearings, you also need to replace the seal and spider which is the 3 legged part with the main shaft on it, otherwise if you don't replace all the parts listed it will not last long before the same happens again. The problem is caused by the seal letting watter into the bearings, the new seals are mdified to help stop this happening.

Retro-fit drain hose

hi not seen one of these retro types but having always wiped the seal and door after use as recommended with clean damp cloth prevents seal deteriation i would have thought this drain?on retro type that drains accumulation of any water from seal would be draining inside the outer drum and thro to drain into pump? seems odd?

Not a hard task if you coat rims with liquid detergent before trying to install new seal.
Using thumb go slowly around rim working seal all the way back.
Replacing main spring can be done by working bottom to top and then hold left side of spring in place while you pull right side in with long nose pliers.A couple of minutes difficult work and your 90% done.
Care is required so as not to puncture seal,
Main point is to ensure seal is fully seated before applying spring.
Having machine laid on its back makes the job so much easier.

This job took an hour and 30 minutes, the hour spent checking the internet first.
Good luck

Replacing door gasket

Depends on which machine you have but essential it is all the same. There will be a ring on the outside of the seal( outside of the machine) take that off and fold the seal ove into itself. Or even fold it into the drum. Than you can reach the retainer ring on the outside of the drum. remove that one and replace in the opposit sequence.
Aint to hard but just a little annoying to do.
Good luck
