Audio drivers needed for an intel 845gv chipset... (by 3 users)
Hi experts,i have been trying to get my pc's audio to work for three weeks now,but in vain.Here's how the whole issue started.I had many viruses in my computer,due to which i had to format my pc.After installing the windows xp professional edition software on my pc,i tried to look for my cd which contained all the audio divers for my motherboard.I realised that i lost my cd,so got on the internet looking for the right drivers.It's been three weeks now,and my pc has no sound.I don't know where to look for the drivers now.I need help urgently!!My motherboard is an intel 845gv chipset.If you need any more info,please let me know.

Hi I have an intel 845G chipset and i have been trying to install the audio drivers from past three weeks and it is not taking any of the drivers as i have tried almost all of them. In the Bios also ac97 audio is enabled but still it is not taking any of the drivers. While installing the driver the system goes for a restart abruptly i have Win XP professional OS installed. Can anyone pls suggest me an appropriate soln to this or link to the correct driver to this motherboard since i dont have the motherboard cd. I have tried so many drivers from the Intel website its not taking any of them

i dont have the cd to install the sound drivers.display is resume but audio is still missing.system properties shows ? in hardware/device manager/audio controller.i have downloaded AUD_ALLOPS_xp but still no sound so tell me what to do?
