If your timer dial doesn't advance and it just keeps filling sounds like a bad timer.

My GE washer will not run a full cycle. It fills up non stop, while at the same time its draining. It was running the cycle and would get stuck on the rinse/spin cycle. But now the knob doesn't even move...

One very slim chance is that the waste water hose does not have an air break in it

The pipe is supposed to be placed into a drain which allows a flow of air to the pipe out of which the water is being pumped

If there is not an air break then the mchine can set up a syphon action which will not allow the unit to fill to the right levels

Quick check is to dump the oulet hose into a sink and run the machine , be sure to secure the pipe in case it slips out and also that the sink can empty fast enough for the water being pumped into it by the washer .

If you are saying that the machine wont stop filling try turning the water off at the fawcet

Washer wont stop filling even when its washing. GE

Replace water inlet valve, it's stuck open. You may try removing hoses to valve and see if something is holding it open

When you turn it on keeps filling water and it over flows , second problem some times when it runs it keeps running to all the cycles never stops tell you manually stop it

Find the tube from the tub to the water level switch. Remove the tube from the switch and blow the sand and stuff out the line. Pump out any water in the washer and restart. 6b0c2cb.jpg
