Dryer stopped working. Not spinning or anything

You will be needing someone with an electric meter, (an ohm meter or a multi-meter) to begin testing to find out if it is the dryer or the power source.
The one thing you could do is check the fuse panel or the circuit breaker box to see if a circuit breaker popped or a fuse blew.
The circuit breaker can be reset by flipping the handle a few times, a fuse would need replacement.
Other than that, an electric meter will tell if the plug socket is live or dead, and then the machine needs be taken apart to see which part has failed. Usually a fuse or a thermo-switch has popped inside the machine.
God bless your efforts.

No power to the display, dryer will not turn on

First thing you need to do is check the Circuit Breaker for the dryer. If it is tripped unplug the dryer and reset the Circuit Breaker. Now plug in the dryer and try to run it. If it does not work again check the Circuit Breaker again if it is tripped again unplug dryer and call someone that can help you or fix it. If the Circuit Breaker is not tripped check for good power readings on both power lines coming into the dryer. Should have 110V or more on each line to neutral, and 220V or more between each line. If you do not have the correct voltage at each line check Circuit Breaker for good power coming out.

My fisher & paykel model ad39 dryer has stopped working

Always unplug the appliance before working on it.
I would suggest checking the circuit breaker in the breaker box for your apartment, to see if it has tripped. You have probably already done this, but try to reset (open all the way and then close) the circuit breaker. Plug the power cord in again and try to operate the dryer.
If it trips the circuit breaker again, there is a short circuit or a ground, and you should unplug the machine and diagnose the problem. 240 volts AC, when shorted or grounded can start fires or kill people.
Many Dryers are equipped with a "non-resettable thermal fuse". When the air being blown through the dryer gets too hot, this thing melts and opens up the entire power circuit. The dyer doesn't do anything, as if it had no power.
This non-resettable thermal fuse can usually be purchased from the manufacturer or a good appliance supply store, and comes in a kit which also includes a new thermostat, to replace the one that probably failed and overheated the machine to start with.
Get a friend who is an Electrician to help you if you are at all unsure of replacing parts in your power circuit. Be sure to unplug the machine / use a VOM to check it dead before you touch anything electrical. BE SAFE. 240 Volts AC is not just playing around.

Frigidaire electric dryer model gleq2152es1 lights wont turn on and wont do anything

Hi ana piedranayari05, this is AP! Thank you for your post

I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire electric dryer not turning on. Make sure the dryer is still plugged into the outlet, and plugged in correctly. Also check to see if the house fuse is blown or circuit breaker tripped? If so, Replace fuse or re-set circuit breaker. Check to make sure that electrical circuit is not overloaded and correct. The dryer must be on a circuit by itself. Overloaded circuits can damage the dryer and possibly cause damage to home. Have a licensed electrician check to make sure it is on a circuit by itself. Additionally, the thermal limiter could have tripped or possibly an internal problem with the dryer. A thermal limiter automatically turns off the motor in the unlikely event of an overheated situation. A service technician must replace the thermal limiter after correcting the fault. If you have check the plug, fuses, and circuit breaker and still no power I would recommend contacting a local technician to diagnose and service your electric dryer.

I plugged a hair dryer in my room then it wouldn't come on in both rooms but all the other rooms outlets work this is the second time this month this problem has occured

Please check the circuit breaker fuses. The one in your bedroom is of lower amps. If it is 5 amps replace it with 15 amps. Also check the connections of the socket. It could be that wires there are not connected with the socket or they are burnt out thus no connection.

Dryer not turning on

Have you checked the circuit breaker? I would start there. Dryers run off 220v, and sometimes only one leg of the breaker trips. So you need to flip the breaker all the way off, and then back on. Sometimes the breaker feels off but is not fully reset. Make sure you completely trip it off then back on. Does the dryer light work? Is there any indication that it's getting some power? If the breaker is fine and your still not getting power, then the next step is to make sure you have power coming to the plug behind the dryer. At this point you should only continue if your comfortable working with electricity. Once you move the dryer you can check the outlet with a meter, or other circuit tester. If you got power here, then you'll need to start checking things on the dryer. you can remove the plate where the cord goes into the dryer and look for loose or burnt wiring there. If that looks ok, then you'll need to start taking the dryer apart; front panel, top, back, etc, as needed to access the wiring and controls. From here you can trace the wiring from the supply to the controls and to the motor, etc. look for anything burn, If nothing looks out of place you can start checking temp sensors, or fusable links. If this is above your head, then stop where your not comfortable and have checked by a service technician.

HE4 Kenmore Dryer tripping Circuit Breaker

If you put a light load in the dryer will not trip the circuit at all. That means heavy load made the motor work harder and over heat, it going to trip the circuit , pretty soon, the motor will be warn out.
